Originally published in issue 30 of Rock n Roll Bride magazine (Jan/Feb 2020), our 'Queen for a Day' editorial was all about celebrating how fierce you are going to be as you sashay down the aisle. We wanted to use giant crowns, gold and some really unique florals. As soon as we found the stunning Fitzrovia Chapel, a bedazzled little jewel of a place hidden away in the streets not far from Oxford Circus, we knew it was the ideal location. Oh, and in case you were in any doubt, a big fuck off crown is always a good idea!

The shoot was created to celebrate the launch of their online-only Rebel Rose collection which features relaxed but modern looks that are heavy with embroidery, sequins and intricate details to create a luxurious look.

The Limp Bizkit of matrimony, if you will. ‘Festival weddings’ being one of them. There’s a very good reason that things become popular - certain styles, like dusky foliage, painted leather jackets and dainty flower-crowns look beautiful together, so by all means there’s no harm rocking these things if you think they represent you.

We were submitted this photo shoot by wedding photographer Emmy Gaines of Searching for the Light. She wanted to shoot a real couple and to show that even if someone has a disability they can still live their life to the fullest. So often, less able-bodied people are ignored by the wedding industry (thankfully this is slowly changing!) but on Rock n Roll Bride we want to champion the fact that EVERY BODY deserves to get married, to have the same wonderful experience and to be treated respectfully by their suppliers and vendors.
