There's a bit of a misconception in the wedding world that brides who want to wear black want to go all-out goth with their wedding theme too... but what if you wanted to combine your love of pretty florals with a penchant for a darker ensemble? Where exactly can you look for inspo?Read more...

With so many amazing real weddings being submitted to us every day (our readers really do have the BEST weddings!) its very rare that we publish styled photo shoots. HOWEVER, when we laid eyes on this clifftop beauty put together by wedding planner Periesa Oromé and photographer Rebecca Carpenter we were desperate to see more.Read more...

After not getting the photos they really hoped for at their actual wedding, Anastasia and Kenny decided to do a shoot to re-stage their day to do just that! They chose Moreton Corbet Castle as the location, Fran Hansen to do the most insane (in a good way) viking inspired makeup on them both and Birgitta Zoutman to take the photos.Read more...

This isn't your typical styled wedding shoot... which is why we love it! A team of wedding suppliers from Baltimore wanted to get together to create something to reflect how they, and others in the events industry may be feeling during a global Pandemic. They also wanted to showcase this 'new normal' that we're all experiencing, but in a really beautiful way.Read more...

Originally published in issue 30 of Rock n Roll Bride magazine (Jan/Feb 2020), our 'Queen for a Day' editorial was all about celebrating how fierce you are going to be as you sashay down the aisle. We wanted to use giant crowns, gold and some really unique florals. As soon as we found the stunning Fitzrovia Chapel, a bedazzled little jewel of a place hidden away in the streets not far from Oxford Circus, we knew it was the ideal location. Oh, and in case you were in any doubt, a big fuck off crown is always a good idea!Read more...

Imagine what your wedding could be like if you had no-one else but yourselves to please. If you could wear what you wanted, invite who you wanted and spend the day exactly as you liked, no questions asked. This doesn't have to be a fantasy and although these images are from a photo shoot rather than a real ceremony, I think they're going to inspire you to look to yourselves for your wedding concept and ideas, rather than getting lost in a world of Pinterest boards and Facebook groups!Read more...

I've wanted to do an all-pink bridal shoot for a long time, Like, my team and I were probably discussing it for a year or so before we actually managed to do it! Turns out you guys agreed that it was a great idea - the cover for this issue was one of the most commented, shared and liked of the year and this issue is now completely sold out! WOW.Read more...

Inspired by the wonderful Steven Universe, a GLAAD award-winning series well-loved for its positive representation of LGBTQ+ themes in a nuanced and non-preachy way, this is the kind of wedding shoot we want to see more of!! Capturing something playful, colourful and creative (just like the show) in a way that will absolutely appeal to the Rock n Roll crowd.Read more...

It’s 2019, so obviously you’re aware that styling your wedding no longer means having sleepless nights over what Auntie Maude will think of your choice of complementary bridesmaid dresses or meticulously matching the exact shade of sage green of your napkins to - well, anything. You’re fully aware that it’s a-okay to wear a black dress, rock a floral suit or dye your hair pink if you want to. I’d bet you’re constantly tagged in posts about unicorn fashion / rainbow cake / other slightly out-dated but once-alternative fashions by well-meaning but slightly clueless friends and family as the token ~Colourful One~. But when it comes to actually using colour in your big day, are you feeling stumped with where to start and how to get achieve the perfect balance between insta-worthy colour clash and a big old mess?Read more...

Bridal designer Bowen Dryden wanted to create a laid-back but beautiful shoot to show that relaxed, comfortable bridal wear can still be edgy and fashion forward. The shoot was created to celebrate the launch of their online-only Rebel Rose collection which features relaxed but modern looks that are heavy with embroidery, sequins and intricate details to create a luxurious look.Read more...

While all weddings are of course unique in their own way, there are a few themes here at Rock n Roll Bride that, behind the scenes, we’ve been calling nu-trad; you know, like nu-metal, but for weddings. The Limp Bizkit of matrimony, if you will. ‘Festival weddings’ being one of them. There’s a very good reason that things become popular - certain styles, like dusky foliage, painted leather jackets and dainty flower-crowns look beautiful together, so by all means there’s no harm rocking these things if you think they represent you.Read more...

This is a bit of a different kind of feature for us, but one I really hope you find inspiring and helpful. We were submitted this photo shoot by wedding photographer Emmy Gaines of Searching for the Light. She wanted to shoot a real couple and to show that even if someone has a disability they can still live their life to the fullest. So often, less able-bodied people are ignored by the wedding industry (thankfully this is slowly changing!) but on Rock n Roll Bride we want to champion the fact that EVERY BODY deserves to get married, to have the same wonderful experience and to be treated respectfully by their suppliers and vendors.Read more...

Happy New Year's Eve! How are you celebrating tonight? Is it a night on the town, a house party with your besties or a night in with a bottle of Prosecco and turning your bathtub into a makeshift ball pit? If the latter sounds like a damn good time then you're going to love this shoot (ha!) If you're a reader of Rock n Roll Bride magazine you will have already seen a few of these shots, as this editorial was featured inside issue 23, however I thought today, the national day of parties, would be the perfect time to share some of the previously unpublished shots with you.Read more...
