Getting married on October 31st, Rachael and Olly were always going to have a Halloween inspired day. In particular, they were influenced by Tim Burton and The Addams Family. Rachael chose her dress because it reminded her of something Dita Von Teese or Morticia Addams might wear, and Olly's outfit, pieced together from various places, was reminiscent of something Gomez Addams might be seen in.Read more...

They chose Venachar Lochside as the location for their stunning October wedding and Mazz and Alex made all their decisions for the day based on what did or did not spark joy. The bride wore a full purple/ dusky rose ensemble - from her Rosie Red Corsetry dress, painted shoes (which she did herself!) and even her freshly dyed hair. The flowers were a mix of purple and red, to compliment Alex' tartan, and they had pumpkins all over the place to reflect the season.Read more...

James and Lillian first met as members of a body modification website. After three years of chatting on MSN messenger (how all the best relationships are formed, of course) they finally met in person and became a couple after attending the wedding of a mutual friend. Many years and two children later, they decided to get hitched themselves, wanting a very laid back, chilled vibe for their day that didn’t cost the earth.Read more...

Lucie and Tommy's London wedding was inspired by the bride's love of pink, their mutual appreciation for the tropical aesthetic and the 1950s, and London, where the day took place. The bride arrived at Hackney Town Hall in a pink Cadillac, her bridal party all wore pink dresses from Coast and their reception decor was all shades from pastel to fuchsia and everything in between. They served their favourite junk food (burgers and Domino's pizza!) and had one hell of a party!Read more...

Liam and Tara’s September wedding was inspired one thing; their journey together. Meeting at 17 and being each other’s first loves, they’ve had a rocky road to get to where they now are and so wanted to celebrate not only the things that they like together, but also as individuals. This translated as a fun, geeky mismatch of inspirations; comic books, unicorns, Disney, Alice in Wonderland… the list goes on!Read more...

Rebecca and Tom had an unusual inspiration for the theme of their wedding day - their own house! “We got engaged in our ‘blue room’,” explained Rebecca, “which is a deep teal and we’ve decorated it with copper accents. We then went wedding venue shopping and saw Wylam Brewery in Newcastle had similar features to our house - blues and greys, parquet flooring, industrial decoration. Tom was also keen to use as much wedding stuff in our house afterwards and because Wylam is a similar age and style to our house, we wanted to make wedding features and decoration that would look fitting in both.Read more...

Tori and Richard didn't have lots of extra cash to drop on their May wedding, so instead of going into debt they simply decided to make peace with it and to plan the wedding they wanted within their £4500 means. They sold things they no longer needed (like fancy silverware that they NEVER used or even looked at) in order to raise the funds they needed ("It transpires we wanted a wedding DJ more than a canteen of fancy spoons!") We are ALL about this attitude here at Rock n Roll Bride by the way!Read more...
