Stylish South African Meets Irish Festival-Inspired Wedding

Fionnuala and Michael’s wedding was a celebration of South African and Irish heritage. Despite the Beast from the East (remember that?!) sadly grounding a lot of the Irish contingent travelling over for the day, they had a beautiful and relaxed festival-inspired wedding.

Describing their day as “Bohemian meets Bushveld“, Fionnuala and Michael wanted to give their Irish guests a taste of true South African hospitality. They held their ceremony and reception at the Intundla Game Lodge. Their ceremony was under a beautiful structure with streaming floral garlands and ribbons to protect them from the South African sun in the most beautifully bohemian way possible.

Southern Lodge Wedding with Modern Bohemian Styling & The Guests All in White

Destiny and Joshua’s Southern lodge wedding with modern bohoemian elements looks like it could be a styled photo shoot, it’s that perfect! As hairdressers, they’d seen their fair share of stressful weddings and, wanting to avoid that, they opted for a stress-free backyard wedding instead.

“We originally wanted to elope but promised family we wouldn’t,” Destiny explained. “Instead, it was a backyard wedding in a huge house that slept every family member and a cabin up the hill with our friends that all pitched in and helped. We had 40 of our closest people spend and entire weekend together, instead of having a huge wedding where you don’t get to see or talk to anyone in different hotels – it was a true family weekend full of love.”

Boho Vintage Chic Italian Farmhouse Wedding Inspired by Ibiza

Eleonora and Michele’s wedding day was boho chic to the max. They mixed fun vintage-inspired details with more traditional Italian elements for a knock-out day to remember!

“Our wedding was a total colour explosion,” Eleonora says, “so totally different from traditional weddings that are very white  and classic. Everything was very natural and spontaneous, with real happiness as a family party.”

They had a traditional ceremony at Madonna di Valverde Sanctuary, which they decorated with candles and single-stemmed jarred flowers in bright colours. Eleonora’s statement flower crown was in a similarly bold colour palette over her beautiful blue-toned hair and added a playful element to her stunning vintage-inspired dress from Atelier Dorio.

Urban Neon Elopement in an Old Berlin Military Base

ARE. YOU. READY. For the best thing you’ve ever seen? Rock n Roll Bride was founded on celebrating alternative weddings that are totally different, and this is going to blow your mind. Laura and Florian’s Berlin wedding was a neon wonderland, including the coolest neon stationery and glow-in-the-dark eyeliner. Techno? More like Tech-YES.

Having seen neon more and more in the fashion world, Laura and Florian had the idea to use it as their wedding theme, mixing neon yellows and greens with white and grey for a classy take on the colour palette. There were neon green details on everything, including on the soles of Laura’s heels, the buttons on Florian’s shirt cuffs, their ring box and their stationery, all from Braune Biene. They had a neon green acrylic menu card and even sent their family a cute elopement card afterwards.

Wet & Windy Scottish Lochside Elopement with a Red Dress & 14 Guests

I love Gail and Mark’s wedding for so many reasons, but one of the main ones is their incredible attitude towards the unpredictable Scottish weather. They got married on a drizzly Scottish lochside on a Monday in October and absolutely loved it!

“In a typical cliché way we both love the outdoors and Mark is a keen mountaineer so, after acknowledging that there was no way my wee Mum would climb a hill for our wedding, we settled on a loch setting with fabulous hills all around,” Gail explains.

They chose the Bank of Loch Lubnaig for their ceremony, a beautiful setting with gorgeous views for days. “Choosing to get married outdoors in the beautifully unpredictable, atmospheric Scottish countryside meant we didn’t worry about the weather beforehand, because we knew it would be beautifully unpredictable!” she laughs (love this!)

Super Cute Clifftop Engagement Shoot in Brighton

Ahead of their big wedding day in China featuring a traditional tea ceremony, Anna and Alex decided to have some engagement pictures taken in Brighton with Manon Pauffin. The suuuuuuper cute results are below!

“In China, it is popular to do a pre-wedding shoot to show your photos at the wedding because on the big day it’s often too busy to have photos of just the two of us,” Anna explains. “For us, this shoot was like a wedding present to ourselves to capture the sweet moment of our love story forever, and it gave us a chance to enjoy some time together and just be who we are.”
