Welcome to that time of week again! As you read this I'll be mid-flow talking all things blog at my School of Rock blogging workshop in Birmingham. I'm seriously excited about this one as a few familiar faces have booked onto it (OK I'm lying... exchange the word 'excited' with 'nervous' and you're getting closer). I'm sure once I get going it will all be OK though... eeeek! Do you ever feel like you're running towards something that's moving away from you at a frustratingly alarming pace? Well that's me this week month year. I'm not exactly sure what age it is that time suddenly starts speeding the hell up but recently I can't believe how quickly it's going. There is SO MUCH to do and seemingly so little time! Happy treatsday to you all! Firstly, I had an amazing time in Prague with La Carmina and Go with Oh (who sponsored the trip) last weekend. I'll be sharing more of our adventures soon but for now check out some of the amazing street art, architecture and general 'stuff' that I fell in love with while we were there. As you read this I'll be jetting off to Prague to spend a few days with the amazing Japanese fashion blogger La Carmina! We've have chatted online for about 4-5 years (!) and so I'm super psyched to finally meet her in real life...It's been so exciting to see how both our blogs and brands have evolved since we first 'met' and so I'm sure we'll have lots to talk about...plus we both share a penchant for Japan, cats, crazy nails and decoden! Wooohooo guess where we're flying off to today!? Yeah I know, I'm subtle aren't I!? Gareth & I are off for 2 weeks and I couldn't be more excited. We've hired an apartment, we're gonna hang out with Gala & Mike (I'm well excited to meet Mr. Darling!) and Megan & Dave who are flying in from Omaha to see us. Eugh what's with the weather this week!? As I write thing the rain is banging down on my office window and it's all looking a bit minging out there. Good job it's time for Thursday Treats - let's bring some much needed sunshine to this miserable day! I also hope the photo at the top of this post adds some laughs to your day. Naughty Gareth! I love this shoot we did with Tinywater Photography while we were in LA last August (more here). Having cute photos to remember your trips is proper cool. Wow where do I begin with this week? OK so I'll just give you a snippet so not to bore you too much! On Monday Gareth & I headed down to Canterbury to do a guest talk on blogging and social media to a small group of staff and students at Christchurch University. This was actually quite an emotional experience for me for a number of reasons. Not only did I go to University in Canterbury but my Dad'sDad (yes that's what we called him!) was actually a sports science lecturer at Christchurch before he died. When I told my Dad and my Nanny that I would be going to the University to kind of do the same thing as him they were all proud and stuff... Yeah, I know. SOB.Read more...

Oh sweet lord this is the most exciting thing to happy to me in weeks (OK so slight exaggeration but...) Instagram finally came to Android! I have a few bits of excitement to share with you today. Firstly, in case you didn't hear, the Devon School of Rock blogging workshop is sold out! I'm thrilled with the response to this second date and I can't wait to meet all the new students at Muddifords Court in April! If you missed out or are considering attending one of these courses in future, keep those peepers peeled as I'll be announcing the next date and location as soon as I'm done with this one! In other news, we are SO VERY CLOSE to having issue two of the Rock n Roll Bride Magazine ready! I know, I know, it's taken much longer than we anticipated to get this second edition out, but we've really upped our game with it. The magazine will be a whopping 86 pages and we've (and by 'we' I mean Nubby...) basically redesigned the whole thing from scratch so it's got a much more grown up, editorial feel. I'm seriously DYING with the anticipation of sharing it with you, it's not long to wait now I promise! Nubby is just working on the finer final details and I'm hoping to have it off to the printers within the next two weeks. WATCH THIS VERY OVER-EXCITED SPACE.Read more...

Wow what a day yesterday was. Bright and early Gareth & I bundled into my car and headed up to Sheffield for my School of Rock (n Roll Bride) blogging workshop. The day was held at the amazing Chimney House. It was perfect for our intimate event (20 students in total) and Sally and her team made us feel very welcome. All the students were girls which was lovely for me but poor Gareth was definitely picked on because of that! After my four hour presentation (don't worry we had tea breaks) and a lengthy Q&A session we all trundled off to The Milestone for dinner and drinks and to get to know each other a little better. I can't even tell you how seriously nervous I was about talking, I'm certainly not a natural public speaker, but I'm so incredibly greatful to everyone that attendeed for making me feel some comfortable standing up there whittering on. Knowing nods & smiles, the sound of notes being scribbled and plenty of questions made me feel a whoooole lot better. You girls ROCK!Read more...

This week I've relocated to the Photography Farm where, alongside my bestie Lisa Devlin I've been styling and teaching up a storm! I can't wait to share the shoot we did on tuesday with Roo modelling (Oh boy is she one gorgeous creature). For now I hope these teeny sneak peek will get you excited! Also a little reminder that I'm on the lookout for DIY tutorial submissions for the blog. I've featured some awesome ideas over the past few months but I'm always on the prowl for more more more! It's been a busy old week in Chez Williams. On Monday I had to go to the optitions, booo. I hate the optitions more than the dentist! I'm so blind (for anyone in the know my perscription is -7.00...that's pretty darn short-sighted!) so it always feels like I'm going into an exam I can never pass. I needed new glasses but didn't like any of the frames on offer so I snapped these Hello Kitty beauties from Tequila Star on etsy instead! I'm now trying to figure out if I look a bit too mental in them or just mental enough to be passable? What do we think?Read more...

Well you know me, I couldn't resist just one more sneak peek from my Vegas shoot with Gala & Nubby, this time from our second photographer Lisa Devlin. Jeez I literally can't wait to share the rest! I ain't gonna lie - coming back from a trip to a Google Reader with over 1000 unread blog posts (and it actually only says 1000 because that's the highest number the counter goes to... Isn't the photo at the top of this post beautiful? It's one of my best friends, Katie, who got engaged at Christmas and is getting married in March (they're doing it so quickly and it's well exiting!) Photographer Lisa Jane came to Reading last week to do their engagement shoot and after seeing just this one frame on her blog I can't wait for the rest! Happy February! I have a feeling this month is going to be more than amazing because in 13 days I'm going to Las Vegas baby!! I'll be there for WPPI - Wedding & Portrait Photographers International - i.e. a kick ass event in which 15,000 wedding photographers descend on Vegas for a week of learning and partying! Some of the most amazing wedding photographers are speaking... Jasmine Star, Jose Villa, Elizabeth Messina, Becker, The Greys... and so many photographers that I've only 'met' online are going to be there too (any of you reading this right now?
