The traditional gift list may be a thing of the past for a lot of Rock n Roll couples. With more people than ever living together before they marry and with many of us being shopaholics (OK I'm talking about myself here!) it's pretty easy to fill your love nest with everyday pretties reasonably sharpish. Also, what if your taste is less John Lewis and more Marc Jacobs? Maybe you'd rather spend hours browsing etsy for cute, handmade things than the aisles of a soulless department store staring at dinner services and throws that your Granny would like. Or maybe travel is more your thing? How would you like your guests to be able to donate towards your honeymoon instead? Or even pay for a fancy meal out somewhere?Read more...

When it comes to looking for your perfect wedding dress, a lot of Rock n Roll Brides are now heading online to see if they can get their dream gown at a fraction of the price. My worry with this has always been that you might end up with a substandard 'knock off' dress that isn't of the quality that you deserve for your big day. You know what they say, "pay cheap, pay twice..." However I'm excited to say that I've found an exception to this rule! I was contacted by AriaDress a few weeks ago and I have not only been blown away but the quality of work and design that goes into every one of their bespoke gowns, but at prices significantly less than you'd expect! Can you believe you can get a dress as gorgeous as these for under $500!? I got chatting to designer Tak Hau last week about his passion, his inspiration and his love of creating simply stunning gowns for brides and bridesmaids. I hope you enjoy reading all about it. He really is a wonderfully talented man and I'm so thrilled to be showcasing his brand new Spring 2011 collection on Rock n Roll BrideRead more...

Today I'm chatting to a photographer whose style is classically elegant with a fashion-led twist. Nick Tucker's unobtrusive ethos would be the perfect accompaniment to a really awesome and and Rock n Roll wedding and I just know he'd capture it in the way it truly deserves to be shown. I am a great believer that wedding photography should be beautiful and classic (as well as awesome of course!) You think of a wedding and you'll pretty much straight away think of the bride. Her flowing white dress, her impeccable make up, her perfectly manicured nails and her purposely selected flowers, jewellery, shoes - the lot. However there's one lady out there who wants to change this preconception and runs her wedding planning business with the groom in the forefront. So, if you're groom doesn't glaze over when you mentioned the 'W' word or if he's wanting to get his teeth stuck into the planning as much as you, then I may well have the answer.Read more...

One of the many pretty damn awesome things about running my blog is the amazing wedding vendors I’ve met along the way. People I wish I’d known about when planning my own wedding back in 2007/08. Luckily for you though I’m here – still as wedding obsessed as ever to share my finds with you and I think you’re going to go nuts for Lucy Ledger and her wonderful retro and kitsch stationary designs. I was lucky enough to be able to interview Lucy this week. It went a little something like this…Read more...
