After their 2010 wedding, Australian husband & wife team Bruno & Ingrid started Still White. Ingrid decided she didn't just want her wedding dress to sit in the back of her closet forever so she looked into selling it online. Then, after not having much luck finding an Australian pre-loved wedding dress website they decided to set up their own. The Australian site has come on in leaps ans bounds over the past 24 months with the site helping brides saving an amazing $320,000 AUD (£215,000 GBP) so far!

Whenever I blog a wedding, I always ask the couples about their engagement story. I don't always include them in the final posts, but it really helps me get to know the couple and what makes them tick - how they got together, how long they were engaged and how they got from 'will you?' to 'I do'. In fact some of my favourite wedding stories have been those with interesting engagement tales. One of my besties, who was married just last month, was only engaged 3 months (in fact her now-husband did a lot of the planning before he even popped the question!) but at the other end of the scale, Emma & Pete were engaged for 3 years before their surprise wedding last year!

If you're anything like me you'll be putting a lot of thought into your wedding day footwear, so I thought I'd give you a helping hand by introducing you to the fabulous world of Zalando. Stocking thousands of items including clothes, beauty products and (what seems like) a gazillion pairs of shoes, if you don't find something you love here there's probably no hope for you. I certainly found something I loved...well a number of things actually. Hi Donna! Can you tell us who you are and what you do? I'm Donna, a chubby pink-haired tattooed metallier from up the North of England. I'm married to a gorgeous Irishman and have 2 kids and a fur baby Pug by the name of Bob. I own and run Clickclickbang Photography. I started taking pictures when my (now 11 year old) daughter was born-mainly because I felt creative but I can’t even draw a circle round a penny, so taking photos was the next best thing. I floated about, learning the technicalities as I went, and it grew and grew into this! I've been shooting part-time professionally for the past 3 years (after the birth of my 3 year old son forced me to quit being a self-employed mortgage advisor!) and have been lucky enough to let my business grow naturally, by word of mouth. However, going full time this year is a huge step, and I'm so excited!

Pinterest has a lot to answer for. I've spent many an hour gushing over my 'Pinterest house' whilst ignoring the pile of washing up/my extensive floordrobe/the DIY jobs in my 'real-life house'. Earlier this month I went to lunch with one of my best and oldest friends, Katie. We've known each other for years, ever since we started skipping Sunday School together! Anyway, this lunch was extra special (and it wasn't just because we went to Wagamamas) because she told me she was getting married...in March! Yes in under 3 months time! Anyway one of the first things we got talking about (after the dress of course) was the wedding gift registry. She told me they'd decided to go for the cash registry option and wanted to know if I thought it was 'tacky' to ask for money over gifts. They already live together, but they want to have the honeymoon of their lives. So, instead of asking for toasters, dinnerwear and cushions, they're asking people to contribute as much as they feel comfortable with towards their dream trip. They've added small things from as little as £5.50 for a favourite cocktail, all the way to a few hundred pounds for flights. I thought it was a great idea! Who needs another throw cushion anyway!?
