Nicole and Brandon are both huge music fans so they wanted to incorporate music into as many details of their wedding as possible. From the invitations which were record and cassette tape designs, to the flowers made from sheet music and even the centrepiece which were all instruments. The favours were guitar picks, magnets, buttons and stickers and were set up like a merch table and the music that played throughout and the reception was a combination of guest requests (which they asked on the RSVP cards) and their own favouritesRead more...

Amy and Darren used traditional weddings they’d been to together to influence what they didn’t want from their own big day! Instead, they wanted their wedding to be fun and to feel like one big party. As they’re both big music lovers, they focused on their shared interest and the bands they’d seen together to theme the decor. Throw in wedding outfits that reflected their personalities, instead of things they ‘should’ wear, and you’ve got yourself a very Rock n Roll Bride worthy wedding where the couple ignored tradition where it didn’t suit them, and ran with ideas that made it personal to them!Read more...

Both big music fans, Broden and Marnie met at a Jezabels gig in Brisbane. They bonded quickly, geeking out over their mutual music taste, and after exchanging thousands of messaged post-gig, they became a couple. They didn't officially get engaged in the traditional sense. They were apart for a few months (Marnie in London and Broden in Australia) and one night during a marathon five-hour Skype call they just kind of mutually decided that they should get married. Instead of an engagement ring for either of them, they got matching mallard duck tattoos on their chests.Read more...

Ali and Robin built their entire June wedding day around their loves and interests, and more than anything - they wanted to bring people together to have fun. They day was heavily influenced by film and music with popcorn on seats for guests and a playlist of their favourite film scores before the ceremony. Their tables were named after locations in their favourite films, which they then included in a question in the pub quiz they hosted before dinner.Read more...

In doing their initial research, Sarah and Brian quickly started to realise that for the price of a traditional package wedding at a hotel or resort, they could instead piece it together using the people, places and things they already loved. “Using our everyday favourite things as inspiration for our day made decisions easier and the wedding itself feel authentic and real.” said Sarah.Read more...

Laura was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar (yes, really!) when she met Lewis, and despite not charming her right away, they soon started to bond over their love of music. The couple are huge music lovers, with eclectic tastes, something that eventually made them click. With this in mind, they wanted to incorporate music into their wedding day as much as possible, so held their reception at Bush Hall in West London and booked London wedding photographer Jordanna Marston to capture their day.Read more...

Lottie and Dave were married at the Union Club in Soho, London. As they planned everything from Hong Kong, where they now live, they didn't see it until two days before the wedding but it ended up being completely perfect for what they wanted. They didn’t want a specific theme, just for it to feel like them. That meant photos in guitar shops, Chinese Lucky Cats, the men in kilts, NOLA jazz and a live jam session.Read more...

Music holds a special place in Katie and Darren’s heart - both musicians, Darren proposed at the gig of one of their favourite bands, and were introduced through musical friends. They’ve always liked to do things a little differently, and so it was obvious from the start that their wedding wouldn’t be predictable. Darren kicked off eschewing the norm when he wrote ‘yes!’ on Katie’s finger with a Sharpie instead of giving her a ring after he proposed!Read more...

Alright, we need to talk about one of the greatest destination weddings I've probably ever seen: Cara and Tod's insanely awesome, super colourful, don't-give-a-fuck Ibiza wedding! The groom wore a silver sequin jacket and his groomsmen were in NEON PINK SHORT SUITS. I kid you not, you will never have seen a wedding quite like this one before. Oh and there were real life mermaids at their reception - NBD.Read more...
