Attention Whovians! You are going to LOVE what I have to share with you today. We've all seen Doctor Who themed weddings before, but I'm going to put my stake in the ground and say I think this is the best one ever. Not only did Leila and Scott only spend $5000 on their wedding, the attention to detail is totally amazing. Check out that blue wedding cake!Read more...

With a budget of just $2000, Matt and Kat said "I do" at their own home the day after Halloween. "We christened our newly purchased house for our wedding!" the bride said. "We had spent several months renovating the old home’s interior but hadn't moved in yet, so all the rooms in the house were empty. We transformed a (future) bedroom into a bar, another bedroom into a dinner/pot luck area. We strung friends’ borrowed Christmas lights all over the house, set up a PA system in the empty living room and called it a venue with a dance floor! Our new neighbour, George, who became a great friend during our move, let us perform the ceremony in the empty lot next to his house."Read more...

Ali and Gem are both into the arts, so having their wedding at the groom's place of work, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre was the perfect choice! They wanted a wedding that reflected both of them and avoided tradition and trends at all costs! The groom actually sent me the most amazing email while they were planning their wedding (which I couldn't help but share!) so it really is a thrill to see how their wedding turned out!Read more...

There must be something in the water because I've now featured three brides with blue hair in the past week. Well, it is the best hair colour after all! The reason I fell in love with this wedding has nothing to do with Kaylee's tresses though, and everything to do with the fact that they had the most kick ass day, on a minuscule budget. I love sharing weddings like this because they prove that it is completely possible to have an awesome wedding without spending a fortune. You just have to prioritise what you really want (in Kaylee and Jake's case their only big expense was the photography) and be smart about where you get everything else. The bride found her wedding dress in a vintage store for £20 for example!!Read more...
