Seph and Jason completely epitomise what Rock n Roll Bride is all about, and no it doesn't matter one little bit that there's no 'bride' in sight! The single thing that makes this wedding awesome AF is them... Oh and the fact that Seph wore goddamn crystal embellished stilettos for the day and looked way better in them than most women I know... Oh and all the Mean Girls references. OK OK there are many, many things that make this wedding slay my entire existence and I KNOW you're going to love it to.

Bethnal Green's Town Hall Hotel is a real hidden gem. From the original art deco interiors, the dramatic marble staircases, original wooden panelled rooms and their very own ceremony chambers, its the perfect spot for the wedding of East London-loving urban dwellers. The entire place has been sympathetically restored in its original art deco finery so stepping through those grand front doors really is a little bit like stepping back in time.

It's no massive surprise that the right music and entertainment at a wedding is CRUCIAL to have a party that goes off with a bang. However if you're not the kind of people that go to a lot of gigs and you don't happen to have a DJ BFF, it can be difficult to know how to find people to perform at your wedding. We had a terrible band at our wedding over a decade ago because we simply didn't give the choosing of them enough time and attention (I actually think my parents went to a wedding where they played and said they were 'alright' so we we're like "Sure, lets just book them and get it ticked off our list". Big mistake, huge!)

Holly and Simon go to a lot of gigs and festivals together, so they wanted to incorporate this into their September wedding. Making things as colourful and fun as possible was their main priority - they wanted a festival-esque party with a carousel, cassettes, live music and fresh flowers. They were married at the incredible Preston Park in Kent which ticked all their boxes - it even had its own vintage carousel!

Oh, Alexis and Yiorgos. let me count the ways that I completely adore your wedding celebration! Married in September in Barcelona, they had a city hall ceremony followed by a bookstore reception in an industrial area turned artisan market just outside the city. Their wedding planner, Happy Endings Barcelona, did the most incredible job dressing the space with candles, chesterfield sofas, birdcages and flowers, and they pumped out a flog machine during the meal resulting in the most dramatic wedding breakfast ever!

I got my book deal in April 2018. It was a big moment of celebration for me as it’s something I’d been thinking about wanting to do for over five years. I caution my use of words here - THINKING ABOUT – because that’s really all I’d been doing. I hadn’t actively been working towards getting a deal or writing a book at all. Because of this my experience of this whole process is probably quite different to that of someone ardently pursuing it. However, I hope sharing the things I’ve learnt throughout the process will still be interesting and useful to some of you.

I've been virtually following Kaylah, aka The Dainty Squid, online for years (we share an obvious mutual affinity with colourful hair!) so when I saw her June wedding to long-term partner Jeff I was thrilled. We also decided we wanted everyone to wear a hat, as Pete is known for always wearing one."
