When planning their August wedding, Hannah and Anthony decided they wanted to play up to the Great British summertime as well as their love of retro flair. The bride's step-mother made bunting, they printed seaside photographs of family members to decorate the venue and their cake was made to look like a sandcastle - complete with two crabs as a cake topper! On the tables they placed photographs of their dog, Wally, with seaside themed props. Even their rings were on theme - they were wooden rings by Hoot Cornwall, made using sand from Thorpeness beach.Read more...

Bryony said she always wanted to get married on their anniversary, so when she and James got engaged (on their 4th anniversary) and she realised that not only did their 6th anniversary fall on a Saturday but the date was 22/02/2020, it was settled! They opted for a celestial theme very early on and as shes not a fan of flowers, they didn't have any! Instead of floral bouquets and buttonholes, she made star and moon ones out of glittery card (which cost lest than £50 in materials!) She also made their cake and place names. Her dad made the moon photo backdrop and her mum made her iridescent sequined skirt using a YouTube tutorial!Read more...

Brendan and Cheyenne come from Reno, Nevada which, by their own admission, is known for it’s super-speedy drive thru weddings and wild nightlife. “This didn’t really fit us,” explained Cheyenne. “We wanted something small and intimate, and we wanted to take our time and make it special in our own way. We love to travel together, and I've always been totally drawn to the ocean, so we decided on Hawaii.”Read more...

Although they knew each other for a couple of years prior, Sami and Myles' relationship progressed quickly when they finally became an item. They got engaged after four months, Sami was pregnant at eight, and they were married in under a year. The bulk of the actual planning was done within just five weeks too! The theme for their wedding was simple, relaxed and outdoorsy - choosing a friend's back garden as their reception location.Read more...

When Iris and Zack started planning their wedding, it was of the utmost importance that they played homage to the bride's Mexican heritage, so they chose November 2nd (Dia de Muertos/ Day of the Dead) as their wedding date. It's something they celebrate every year anyway so having their wedding on that date seemed entirely fitting.Read more...

Americans Sean and John chose to travel to Ireland with a gang of family and friends to get married at Lisnavagh House in County Carlow. If you’ve had to postpone your summer wedding until the winter, you’re going to love the festive inspo from Jess and Tom’s December 2018 celebration. The couple had been dating since they were teenagers and ten years later Tom proposed to Jess with the most perfect 1920s emerald ring. This, and the fact that they desperately wanted to keep their early December anniversary as they’d been celebrating it so long together, inspired their festive theme, but they kept it true to their everyday style with plenty of rock n roll touches.Read more...

Gemma and Jon chose St Pancras Station as their unusual wedding location and were married at the exact spot where they first met for their first date! They were married on the concourse with the trains behind them, and had their reception at Searcys Champagne Bar. They were inspired by the art deco vibes of the location, but also their love of Bowie through their choice of music, and the bride's accessories (Bowie is also their son's name!)Read more...

You probably already know this, but here at Rock n Roll Bride we are pretty much obsessed with pink, so when Amy and Adam's wedding landed in our submissions inbox we were thrilled! The couple were married at the bride's mum’s house in September and the entire wedding was DIY. Pink was the very obvious theme, but the bride loves Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, so that was a big reference point for them too,Read more...

Jen and Chris eloped on October 31 in New York City. The day was filled with cute personalised touches with an almost whimsical and almost fairy-like aesthetic. However the most important thing to them both having their ceremony in their own way. "Our ceremony was simple and we did not want to have any guests", Jen began. "We said our vows to each other and promised that we would be together forever. That is how we wanted to get married and we are so happy we did it this way. There was no stress to impress others."Read more...

Trinity Buoy Wharf has one of the best views in London which suited Rebecca and Dave's red, white and blue themed wedding to a tee. The couple didn't want the day to be too 'matchy-matchy', but they did was cohesive elements to run throughout. The bride wore a stunning red Pronovias dress (from their evening gown range, so less than a quarter of the price of their wedding gowns!), the bridesmaid wore white and Dave and his groomsmen were in blue suits.Read more...
