Colourful Industrial Wedding with Pop Punk Influence & Bespoke Beer

Meeting on Tinder, Tiffany and Joe’s first date was at a supermarket, followed by a home-cooked dinner made by Joe! They chose to hold their special day at Globe Dye Works in Philadelphia, the perfect fusion of industrial and creative.

Tiffany and Joe incorporated their love of pop punk and emo music into their wedding, with Tiffany walking down the aisle to an acoustic version of a When You Know, by pop punk band, Neck Deep, as well as hiring their city’s emo night DJ for their ceremony. They also had coasters made with lyrics to a favourite song, which they spread around the venue and used to accompany the pin favours. In another nod to pop punk, the couple brewed their own signature beers and named them after special pop punk songs.

Tiffany explained, “We brewed two beers, When you Know, a blueberry Pilsner named after the song I walked down the aisle to, and Love in Real Time, a peach Belgian Blonde named after the same song by The Maine and made with peaches we’d picked ourselves.”

Nashville Rooftop Wedding Officiated by Divorce Court Judge

A non-traditional, quirky wedding was the ideal celebration for Michelle and Kyne, however they kept some of tradition of a wedding-day routine, just doing it in their own way. The bride is a divorce lawyer and so they had two judge friends officiate and instead of a flowergirl there was an adult ‘flower babe’. The bride, who is almost 40 and had been married and divorced already, walked in with her dad to Rainbow Connection.

Having planned on getting ready in separate rooms, and seeing each other at the aisle for the first time, Michelle and Kyne decided at the last minute to shun that tradition. Michelle explained, “One room had a balcony and better lighting than the other so we both chose to prep there.  On the morning of our wedding, all the details didn’t seem to matter – we just were excited for the festivity.  Helping each other get dressed made so much more sense ultimately. If anyone was to adjust his suspenders, it was meant to be me. When preparing for a major life event, we are supposed to be together.”

Usually a serious, reserved and shy person, Kyne surprised the guests by dancing down the aisle, dressed as Apollo Creed from Rocky IV as Living in America played.  His mates ripped the tear-away robe (which he sewed himself with great care to ensure authenticity!) from him when the song concluded. That wasn’t the only surprise, as Michelle told us, “The ceremony was tag-team officiated by a divorce court judge and a criminal court judge, friends and mentors who decided to surprise us by wearing white curly British barrister wigs with their black robes.”

With Covid keeping Kyne’s family in Australia, the couple livestreamed the ceremony so that everyone could attend virtually and witness their special day. They had only 50 guests there will them on the day.

Autumnal-Inspired Rustic Wedding With a Sparkler Send Off

A focus on fun was the order of the day at Chris and Kara’s wedding, with a relaxed vibe, limbo, a dinosaur dance party and a sparkler send off to celebrate. They chose The Wood Shed in Vista, California as their venue, featuring natural wood, a gorgeous pergola to say their vows, and strings of twinkling lights to dance under.

The couple chose an autumnal colour palette, with red and rust tones through the flowers and the bridesmaids in orange velvet. The colours matched the venue’s worn leather and wood theme perfectly, and fresh greenery and a neon sign added a pop to lift the palette.

Autumnal Canyon Elopement with Their Dogs

To get the best photos, you need the best photographer! And that’s just who Riley and Dylan found in Yazi Davis for their elopement in Providence Canyon, Georgia.

“We had the best photographer who was willing to do whatever to get the perfect shot”, they said. “We jumped fences, made a picnic with a charcuterie board, carried dogs and outfit changes, hiked trails, and even got yelled at for drones that weren’t ours. You name it, we did it.”

With spectacular surroundings, the couple hiked to a viewpoint and enjoyed a charcuterie board together, taking in the stunning scenery and enjoying their first moments as a married couple. Importantly, they were able to take their beloved dogs, which they said was their favourite part of the wedding.

Colourful, Relaxed Brighton Seaside Wedding

Emma and Josh met at college when they were 16, fell in love, and just 18 years later, decided to marry! They wanted a super chilled, relaxed wedding, full of bright colours, without any fuss. With a chippie lunch and ice cream dessert, they had a fun, laid back seaside wedding in Brighton.

Emma told us, “It was a running joke that we would never get married, then when Josh finally proposed I got straight onto the planning and booked March 2020, but then Covid happened… So our invites, as well as my jacket said, ‘At Last’, and we continued the theme through to the processional music, Etta James At Last, which raised a chuckle! The whole ceremony was light-hearted and full of laughter.”

Dark & Moody Great Gatsby Inspired Wedding with a Botanical Theme

With a passion for plants, Kelsey and Grant knew there had to be plenty of greenery in their wedding. Grant proposed to Kelsey in their greenhouse, and so plants are very much a part of their story. The couple incorporated greenery wherever they could. They chose a venue with a huge living wall, and their florist included a rooted plant in Kelsey’s bouquet, so she could plant it and continue nurturing it, well after the wedding. They also had a plant potting segment of the ceremony and a potted plant seating chart.

As an art major in college, designing the day was something Kelsey really enjoyed, and she took on a lot of DIY projects, including spray painting vintage frames, making a sign and terrariums with animal bones, crystals and butterflies in.
