This week I was going to write about drains. Yes, drains. And then I realised how fucking boring that would be so I checked myself and went on an Instagram binge instead. If anyone is interest in said drain problems the (very short) version is that the drains at the front of the house are blocked (we're not sure with what yet but Gareth suspects its roots from some of our trees) meaning the garage and driveway flooded pretty badly a few weeks ago. Doing the editorial shoots for the magazine is one of the the highlights my job. I feel very much like a character in a rom com from 2005, where the heroine works at a fancy magazine in New York when I do this kind of stuff (ha!)

Charlie and Chris were married in Sheffield. The theme was robots and skulls and they had little nods to both of those things everywhere you looked. "I’m not sure many weddings have quite so many robots included!" Charlie laughed. "They’re very important to both of us so needed to be a pretty big part of the wedding.

The theme for Katie and Jimmy's informal winter wedding was a mixture of a 1960s working man's club with a 1920s speakeasy. They were married at Hackney Town Hall and hosted their reception at Earl Haig Hall, an old British Legion social club in Crouch End.
