Anna and Liam were married in Louisville, KY on December 20th. The day had a winter and Christmas theme with lots of homemade touches. "We knew that we didn't want something formal or scripted for our wedding", said the bride. "Instead we wanted a big party! Neither of us are one for formal events, and we knew we wouldn't feel genuine having the cookie cutter wedding. We wanted something laid back and enjoyable that didn't break the bank and I think we succeeded."

Leeanne and Zak wanted a DIY wedding in all senses of the word. Initially they weren't even going to have a professional photographer, but thankfully some friends convinced them otherwise! While this was a bigger expense than they were planning, they were able to counterbalance that with lots of savvy money saving options. The bride's dress was £29 in the Monsoon sale for example! Their ceremony was at Leeds town hall and their reception at Thwaite Mills, an industrial museum, also in Leeds.

Michelle and Thomas met when they were both working in South Korea. "I was supposed to go with a friend who pulled out two weeks before", she explained. "I decided to go anyway and it was the best decision I've ever made! I had never been outside of North America and I was terrified! However, if my friend actually came I would have never met Thomas. He ended up taking her position and lived next door to me."

Guess who I hung out with this week?! The amazing Harnaam Kaur aka the Bearded Dame aka the flower beard bridal lady aka my new best bad ass friend! After I featured her shoot and I realised she lived in Slough, which is literally 20 minutes from where I live in Reading, I emailed her almost demanding that we meet for coffee. Well, that quick coffee turned into a four hour gossip sesh, shopping marathon and lunch date! Now only is she hella inspiring -- I could listen to her talk for hours -- but she's totally hilarious, humble and just flat out lovely!

Hayleigh and Marc met at an alternative nightclub in 2010 so they always knew their wedding would be quite non-traditional. "We went for a bohemian-esque evening wedding however tried not to go over the top with our decorations", said the bride. "We really wanted it to be about us and our families, not the 'stuff'. Sean and Kath were married in Maidstone, Kent. The biggest influence for their wedding was their mutual love of Doctor Who! Kath wore a dalek belt made for her by The Couture Company (who also made her stunning dress and headpiece), and their cake had a Tardis on top!
