Rainbow loving babes, stop what you are doing! The day has finally come, my brand new collection with Crown and Glory is ready for you to get your glittery paws on! When Sophie and I sat down to brainstorm the new designs, we came up with the idea of a collection specifically aimed at bridesmaids. While that's not to say brides can't wear these (or you can't wear them every day - I have been!) we noticed there was a distinct lack of super cool, colourful and affordable accessories specifically for bridesmaids... so we decided to do something about it!

You know me, I'm no wallflower, so when Claire's asked me if I'd like to play dress up using some of their brightest of the bright brand new hair adornments, I really couldn't say no. When that trademark lilac packaging landed on my doorstep and I tore into it, I was greeted with so many pretty florals and bright colours that it instantly lifted my hump day mood. I immediately started thinking of ways I could dress them up, bridesmaid's style!

The view from Rent Patina's rooftop was incredible. The Manhattan skyline stretched before us looking just as inviting as ever. When ever I arrive in New York, no matter how exhausted I am from the flight, I get a whole new wave of excited energy as soon as I see that view - the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, the Chrysler Building... what's not to love?

On a hot and humid New York day Gala, Shauna and I headed over (under?) the water to Bushwick to hang out with our friends at Rent Patina. The air was heavy and thick and the heat was stifling but we hopped on the subway with a spring in our step, excited about what they had in store for us. They were shooting their brand new lookbook and we, of course, jumped at the chance to play dress up and get involved.

I’ve been a Crown and Glory obsessive ever since I first saw her beautiful pieces on the pages of a glossy magazine. I distinctively remember being sat on a busy train flicking through Company and being stopped in my tracks (boom, boom!) as I saw her gorgeous flower crowns and glitter bows in one of their fashion editorials. So not to forget to check them out online later, I snapped a photo and tweeted “Note to self, check out @crownandglory_!”

Apologies, you're about to see a lot of photos of me & Gareth being soppy, silly and cute in New York... but I guess that's what happens when the Made U Look girls shoot you. It's neigh-on impossible to cut them down because they are all. so. good. So here we have it, the final installment of Gala & my frolic around NYC! When Christina & I first starting thinking about shooting in New York there was one place top of both of our lists - The Brooklyn Bridge! Iconic the world over, nothing screams New York more than this structure... or the amazing views from it! After a slightly hair-raising cab ride through China Town and over the Manhattan Bridge, we arrived in Brooklyn and proceeded to walk the 1.1 miles over the East River towards Manhattan.
