On a soggy Spring evening Lisa and I headed to London. It was Tuesday, and the night of the Cosmopolitan Magazine Superbloggers Masterclass. I was thrilled, honoured and damn right nervous as hell to have been asked to join an illustrious panel of experts at this prestigious event. The masterclass was a complete sell-out, with two hundred enthusiastic wannabe bloggers braving wind and rain to make it to The British Museum for the two-hour panel discussion and Q&A.

A Sunday Kind of Love: Looking Forward

Kat

September 2, 2012

On Friday Gareth & I packed up the car (again!) and drove down to Brighton (again!) for another School of Rock blogging workshop. The event was fabulous, my class were ace, and the whole thing left me with a warm n fuzzy feeling inside. As we drove away that night (slightly topped up with the celebratory after-workshop-wines - don't worry Gareth was driving!) I turned to him and gushed away about how incredibly blessed I feel. Like, how is this my life? As someone who tentatively dipped her little toe into the blogosphere all those years ago, I can't quite believe that people now line up to come and hear me speak about my journey. Like seriously... this is nutso. Even Darren Rowse of Problogger is singing my praises. Yeah no big deal or anything...

Goth Adventures in Prague with La Carmina & Go with Oh!

Kat

July 7, 2012

Disclaimer: I'm going to try and not make this post just a boring "er, wanna look at my holiday snaps" kinda blog post. Try I sad... One of my goals for 2012 was to push myself out of my comfort zone more, and to travel as much as possible. I've never been a huge traveller, but I strongly felt that in order to broaden my horizons and provide a more well rounded and interesting blog topics that starting to do more of it was important. So when Japanese travel and goth fashion blogger La Carmina, who I've spoken to online for the past 4+ years, asked if I wanted to join her in Prague for a few days I disregarded my feelings of trepidation and nerves and said hell yes!

Bright Lights, Late Nights, Shopping & Disco Trees…Why, It Must be a Las Vegas Round Up Post!

Kat

March 4, 2012

What time is it? What country am I in? How do I form sentences again...? Greetings. This morning's blog post comes from a head that still hasn't quite got back on UK time. It may have been a week since I landed back at Heathrow, but I'm still finding it hard to get back on track! However waking up at 2pm and going to bed at 4am could work for me I reckon... Those of you that follow me on Twitter or Facebook will have been lucky (or unlucky, whichever way you look at it!) to have been force-fed regular updates from my Las Vegas adventure over the past few weeks, but today I thought it necessary to put off getting back to work just a little while longer in order to share some of my favourite photos and fun times from Viva Las Vegas. I'm sure some of you are sick to death of hearing all about it already...sorry about that...but for the rest of you I hope you enjoy this extra epic extra huge post dedicated to one of my new favourite places, the city they call Sin...

Omaha Fashion Week – Walking the Catwalk for Princess Lasertron

Kat

September 19, 2011

So I've been home from my American Adventureā„¢ for a couple of weeks and after finally catching up with my 800+ emails and writing the magazine articles that were due like, the day after we got back...oh plus helping to organise and attending the amazing Feather Love Photography workshop in London (phew) I can finally sit myself down and try to begin to process the experience I had on the other side of the pond. Quite simply my mind is blown. I'm not sure any of my write-up posts are going to make a whole lot of sense actually. You know when you have such an incredible experience (like getting married I guess!) it's sometimes really hard to turn everything whirring around your head into a conscious stream information when telling people the story?! Therefore I apologise for any future rambly blog posts on this subject!

Rock n Roll Bride on The Morning Blend – American TV Debut!

Kat

August 29, 2011

As most of you will know, I'm currently on my first American tour (OK it's not really a 'tour' per-say as I'm only going to two places but that sounds fancy right!?) This past week I've been in Omaha for their annual fashion week. I was invited by the way-too-cool Megan Hunt better known as Princess Lasertron to model a limited edition Rock n Roll Bride dress (that she would design and make especially for me and the readers of Rock n Roll Bride) in her runway show to debut her Fall 2011 collection. She quite frankly didn't have to ask me twice. I grabbed Gareth and we hot-footed our way to the US of A.

Design Your Own Shoes with Upper Street

Kat

August 10, 2011

At the beginning of July I was contacted by the lovely people at Upper Street Shoes. My interest was immediately sparked. "Wait? I get to design my own shoes?" I replied, "AMAZING!" To say I became somewhat obsessed with their website for the remainer of the day would be a huge understatement (and no I didn't get any more work done...) I probably designed about 20 pairs of shoes before the day was out! It was super easy and super duper fun. Jimmy Choo has nothing on me I tell ya!
