Let me just list the boxes Brandi and David ticked on their incredible day: a romantic rooftop first look, getting hand tattoos in their hotel room, playing with smoke bombs against the backdrop of a spectacular rainbow, and their two pups were the ring bearer and flower girl! Then, as if that wasn't kickass enough, a week later the bride contacted photographers Ed and Aileen Photography to do a 'trash the dress' session, which took place in Lake Michigan on a 2°C day! There were parts of Becky and Stewart's wedding that were traditional - the grand manor house, the toastmaster, the order of the day, and others that couldn't have been more Rock n Roll. The bride wore an incredible blush pink wedding dress and veil, their portraits featured smokebombs, and there were nods to their mutual love of music throughout. For the photo shoot at the latest Photography Farm workshop, photographer Lisa Devlin knew she needed to do something big. After all, at the last Farm Gareth and I got married again! After seeing Megan and Grant's gorgeous wedding on Rock n Roll Bride, and reading how much Megan loves Disney (and just so happens to resemble a certain crimson haired mermaid) the ideas started bubbling away. She wanted to put a different twist on the mermaid idea though and eventually came across the story of Rusalka, from which The Little Mermaid movie was based. When I featured Ainsley and Sebestien's engagement shoot in September I dubbed it "the coolest engagement shoot to date".
