When I first saw Jody and Shane’s engagement shoot (the bride shared some shots in the
Rock n Roll Bride Facebook group!) I almost let out an involuntary squeak. I’m sorry but how friggin’ gorgeous are this pair!? If you’re considering not bothering with an engagement session, I kinda feel these might start to change your mind a little bit…
“Our engagement shoot took place at Oxshott Woods, Surrey”, said Jody. “It had a woodland fairytale theme. We wanted our photos to have a unique quality about them and to represent something classic but also with an edge (like us!) We wanted to add something that made the natural backdrop more magical with the coloured smokebombs.”
BRB just dying over how incredible these are…

I'm pretty sure there is no couple in the world that could possibly come close to being as awesome as Ainsley and Sebastien. This is one of those engagement shoots that as soon as I saw it I was dying to see the wedding already, wondering what they could possibly do to top these photos.
Woodland Motorcycle Engagement Shoot: Kate & Brandon

Engagement shoots might not be everyone's bag, in fact I rarely blog them myself. But when I saw Kate & Brandon's intimate and utterly gorgeous shoot I knew I had to break my self-imposed rule. I love how these images perfectly reflect the couple - their likes and dislikes, the things they do together and who they are as people - without any pretentiousness. Nothing is overdone and nothing has been imposed by the stylist - it just shows them.

Gothic Woodland Engagement Shoot: Adriana & Ben
December 5, 2012
I do love winter wedding inspiration, but more than that, I love winter inspiration that's a little bit more edgy. Gothic even. To me, winter is the perfect opportunity to embrace your dark side.
And for their engagement shoot, Adriana & xx wanted to to just that as well. "I wanted to really go all out and embodied the darker side of us for our engagement shoot", Adriana explained. "We really weren't trying to be 'dark', we were just trying to be true to us. My fiancé is a musician and I am a event creative director, so I really wanted our passions to be apparent in this shoot. I wanted to create an enchanting feeling and our own little creative fantasy."
Cooking Calamity Engagement Shoot: Shaughnessy & Kyle
September 29, 2013
I wouldn't say I'm a cooking calamity but it's certainly not something I excel at (this coming from the girl who put so much hot sauce on her husband's dinner the other night that he was gulping milk for an hour - ho hum) So I guess you could say that this hilarious engagement shoot set up resonated with me!

Matthew & Vashti's engagement shoot may be simple but I think it's perfect. Who needs props and stylists when you have love that looks like this? To me, there is nothing more beautiful than that.
In actual fact I don't think any more words are required...just soak in the simple beauty that these guys have...
