Sarah and Simon, both artists, wanted their wedding to be completely and utterly them. They chose to elope, with just three witnesses in attendance in a private cabin in the beautiful blue mountains outside Sydney. After the ceremony they made vegan lasagne for everyone. I was trying to figure out how to best start 2018 with a BANG, wondering what would be the perfect post that would start as we mean to go on for the year ahead... And then I laid eyes on Suzi and Ivan's fantasy, fairytale and UNICORN THEMED WEDDING and the decision was basically made for me. This has to be one of the coolest weddings I've seen in a long time! They got tattoos, the bride wore a floral purple dress and they even a real life unicorn for goodness sake. Oh and very the best part? The whole wedding only cost $1500 (AUD). Jemima and Dylan first date was on Skype! They had been basically bullied into adding each other on Facebook by a mutual friend due to their equal love of Star Wars and the band Bane. They decided to give long distance dating a chance (Jemima lived in Sydney Australia and Dylan lives in NYC) but two years later sealed the deal and got hitched!Read more...

Krysia and Robbie met at the Australian Youth Orchestra’s National Music Camp in Adelaide. When they came to marry, a whole decade later, they decided to incorporate this love of music into the celebration. They always wanted the day to reflect their laid back nature. It was also vital to them to use their wedding to support a charity they believe in, and female run businesses. The format of Jess and Tim's wedding was pretty unusual, but it ended up really working for them. Due to some restrictions they were unaware of when they booked their date, they weren't able to have their ceremony on the day they'd planned for, so ended up having a small intimate ceremony in February, followed by their big reception in March. Shannon and Chris met through Gumtree! Chris was advertising for a flatmate, and Shannon was looking for a new house share. They were married in September at Half Moon Hideaway in Maleny, Queensland. Shannon is a circus enthusiast while Chris is a certified geek, they really wanted to make the day about who they are.
