Burning Man is a place where anything goes, so it was the perfect place for Angela and Michael's to have the wedding they've always dreamt of. "We were married at Burning Man so our theme was loosely a mixed interpretation of a royal wedding", the bride said. "In truth, weddings are rarely just about the bride and groom and we wanted a wedding that was just about us. We already had tickets to Burning Man and had heard about people getting married there so once the idea was put forth it was an easy decision to make. When we told our families our plans they were completely unsurprised. Apparently running away to the desert is completely in-keeping with our personalities and reputation!"

"I originally wanted a ceremony at our house, but there was no way we could ﬁt everyone, so we brought elements of our home to the venue", Amy said. "We both love mid-century ascetics, but didn't want it to be too kitschy or overdone. One guest described it as 'if Wes Anderson remade Steel Magnolias' which is a fantastic compliment if not just a really, really good idea."

Prepare to get your swoon on with Karly and Geoffrey's adorable vintage influenced wedding. "Geoffrey and I had both been sent to the tiny coastal town of Prince Rupert, BC for work", Karly explained when I asked her how they met. "We were set up on a blind date in the fall of 2012 by a mutual friend. Six months later we were shopping for a house together. I was a bit of a hippie wild child and never would've seen myself ending up with a policeman, but he is just so wonderful and we fell in love so quickly and easily. We got engaged in January 2014."

"We're both massive fans of his films and the level of set design minutiae that goes into them lent itself quite nicely to an underlying theme for a wedding."
