As many of you will already know, I like to pride myself and my blog on individuality and posting some of the best, exclusive and new weddings out there. However rules are made to be broken right?! I actually saw and loved Alicia & Jack's wedding a while back on another wedding blog (I even included it in a Thursday Treats post) but when their videographer Thomas of Vantage Point Films sent me the link to their gorgeous video (which hasn't been seen elsewhere) I couldn't help but as if I could share some of the photographs taken by Carla Ten Eyck Photography too. The whole wedding was perfectly put together and customised by the couple to give the day a truly unique feel. Everything from Michelle's dress - which she bought as a 'standard' dress and had red tulle and the red waist panel added to it and veil - which her Mum made; to the centrepieces - which they made themselves with a mix of antique Coke bottles with sand, red water, a gerbera and curled wood; to the placecards and invitations- which they also made themselves, were unique and interesting.

It's that time of immense excitement for me again, when I finally get to share with you a 'lil project I've been busying myself with behind the scenes. Unbelievably this shoot has been in the pipeline for over a year but it's only now that I've had the time to get it all organised properly! The Photographer I first met Eliza Claire just over a year ago at the very first 'Rock n Roll Bride meet'. We met in a teeny cocktail bar in central London. We drank cosmopolitans and mojitos and talked way into the night about business, photography and changing the face of the UK wedding industry...and look how far we've come in a year! At this first meeting we talked about doing a photo shoot together and would you believe it's actually taken this long to get it together. However, as always, the wait was soworth it as within this past year we've got to know so many more amazing people in the industry, a few of which we asked along to join in the fun. "My thoughts on the shoot were to do something different, bring out the softer side of Rock'nRoll Bride! You've done a gothic shoot and a Punk-rock shoot, I wanted to show your softer, feminine side. Tiffany and I were definitely on the same page when it came to ideas for this, and the Whitstable location really grew from that - getting you out of the city, and wanting beach huts!"

Jess & Bryan's is my favourite kind of wedding. I love the fashion, I love the style, I love the amazing diy touches and the whole chilled out and creative vibe of the day. "We really wanted usto be present in everything that was a part of our day" the couple told me. "We tried to make, and do, as much as we could for our wedding. This meant enlisting the help of our talented and wonderful friends and family to make paper cupcake toppers, straw flags, escort cards, wooden signs and much, much more! We all got together the day before the wedding to set up the entire tent and yard and then relaxed with a night of BBQing and laughing.

So I don't usually post sneak peeks on the blog (I prefer to tease you on Twitter and Facebook!) but I am so in love with these that I just had to make sure that every single of of your saw them. As I think most of you will know, I headed down to Whitstable beach yesterday with photographer Eliza Claire, Vintage planner and stylist Tiffany Grant-Riley and hair & make up artist Elbie Van Eeden. It really didn't feel like work - it was just a girl's day out! And although I'm proper shattered (and quite sunburnt ooops!) the results are looking like they are aaalll going to be worth it.

OK, so I'm so bloomin' impatient. My sleeve tattoo technically isn't finished yet (I've got another 4 hours or so to go in 4 weeks time - I'm adding some more colour to the background and some more cupcakes and diamonds - yum) but I've waited 2 weeks already to share these pictures and I can't do it anymore! At my last session at the amazing Blood Brothers Tattoo Studios in Holloway Rd, London, photographer Al Overdrive offered to pop down and take a few photographs of me in pain/being brave/getting inked. Al won Tattoo Photographer of the Year this year and is pretty well known in the music and tattoo photography market, shooting for magazine like Skin Deep, Tattoo Master, Rock Sound and Terrorizer as well as shooting some pretty damn cool alternative weddings.

"I thought you might like Sophie & Jonny's engagement shoot" Marianne Taylor wrote, "as there is pinkness and tattoos involved." Well looks like she was right! Oh yes I do like. The shoot took place in Green Park and Marylebone, London. The couple are getting married in September in a 1950's, burlesque and black & white bash and I'm pretty sure I'm going to love that too. I can't wait to feature it already!

Erinn & Brandon's Nashville wedding was an elegant and modern affair with a touch of rockabilly and country charm. The couple chose Aerial as the location for their wedding. They had their ceremony and reception on the rooftop, overlooking the city - a perfectly modern backdrop. "We chose Aerial not just because it was rooftop, but because it was above all of the honky tonks that make Nashville what it is" the couple to me. "We wanted it to be elegant, with a glimmer of rockabilly and country in the background. The glow of the city lights and neon from below was perfect!"

David & Camden's wedding portraits made my day. You've got the love the combination and contrast between the uber modern setting of the 'first look' portraits and the indoor setting with that dramatic lighting, followed swiftly by the fun, retro and cool outdoor portraits with that awesome car! Sara-Anne & Michael's 1940's inspired wedding had some really great touches. They balanced the classic look with quirky details so to make their wedding a perfect mix of tradition and personality. The wedding took place at Saphire Estate, Sharon, Massachusetts in May and Sara-Anne wore a gorgeous Oleg Cassini dress which showcased her ink in a classy yet cool way.

Becky & Jon wanted to have a laid back wedding with all their closest friends and family at one of their favourite posh restaurants in Brighton, The Ginger Pig. Originally Becky didn't even want to wear a wedding dress but after falling in love with this gorgeous David Fielden number, she soon changed her mind. It even disguised her baby bump pretty well! She paired this with some vintage shoes that had belonged to her Mother. The ceremony was held at Brighton Town Hall which was followed by some quick portraits on the beach - complete with the iconic Brighton beach huts and champagne in plastic glasses!

First of all, well done to everyone for all your patience. I have been very cruel and teased you for weeks about this new project (especially on Twitter hehe!) but I'm pretty sure you're going to forgive me when you see what I've been up to...You must also forgive me for the super wordy nature of this post, but there has been so much work behind the scenes to make this shoot happen that I can’t possibly do it justice without an epic explanation. A little while ago, the amazing Emma Case and I were talking about how crazy our lives are; about how everything seems to have exploded over the last few months and about how many awesome people we’ve met. “Let's do a shoot together” one of us said “hell yeah!” said the other. After we’d decided to actually go through with it and (as Emma later confessed to me) after a major bit of 'OMG what the hell am I doing'/freakin' out about it, a date was set. We didn't really know what the plan was. “Let's just go and have a play” we said.

This ghoulish, retro horror themed wedding may not be everybodys cup of tea but I can't help but be a little over-excited about it. So. Much. Originality! Photographer Al, who has just been shortlisted for 'Tattoo Photographer of the Year' was keen to tell me all about Ash and Michelle Ghoulmore's (oh yes!) friday the 13th wedding. The couple run retro rebels store and the horror-themed clothing company Kreepsville 666 so their wedding was always going to be a spooky special. 'Ghoulmore' actually is Ash's surname and they pretty much live Halloween everyday, so it was fitting to pick a horror / b-movie inspired Wedding theme. "This meant I had to light the formals in a slightly different way to ensure I got that punchy highly saturated contrasty feel that fits with the mood" photographer Al told me. "This was the first time I've seen a smoke machine used during the ceremony! The archway was decorated with skulls and light like a stage. As you can see form the photos the cake was a skull and all the attendees got to take home a set of cast-silver effect fangs to say 'fangs for coming' [groan]. Zombina and the Skeletones provided the live music for the reception, again fitting the horror-rockabilly theme."

Amanda & Byron got married in April at The Lake House Inn - Perkasie, PA. The couple met while working at the Trocadero Theater in Philadelphia. He was the though security guard and she was the box office girl/cocktail waitress. Their proposal story is so adorable I had to share it before you see their awesome tattooed wedding. "On a hot summer day in July 2008 we decided to drive to Hamburg, PA and hike up to the Pinnacle, which overlooks the vast Lehigh Valley" Amanda told me. "We are not avid hikers - we just like nature.

There is no other way to describe this Warwick Castle shoot than kick ass. Is photographer Steve Gerrard fo' real? I can't get over how much I adore these and how much I want to be this bride! "I’m one of the castle’s recommended wedding photographers" Steve explained "so when I asked the lovely Katie Hill at the castle about doing the shoot, she was more than helpful, even allowing us to shoot long after the public had to leave the venue." Steve was helped along by local vendors The Bridal Boutique who donated a dress and The Blossom Tree who helped out with the flowers. Steve wanted to shoot two different sides of the bridal story so he found Steph, a classic English rose (you can see her session here)and Laura - the gorgeous, heavily tattooed chicka you see below. Rock-the-hell-on!
