One of the most fun and creative parts of my job is the editorial fashion shoots that I create with my INCREDIBLY TALENTED photo shoot team. For issue 10 (Sept/Oct 2016) we wanted to channel one of the original Rock n Roll couple: Elvis and Priscilla Presley. We used just one model, Tarla, who was actually the perfect Elvis and Priscilla, and we shot at Hotel Pelirocco in Brighton.Read more...

If you've picked up a copy of issue 7, you will have seen the Skin Deep photo editorial that I partnered with Nova of the Nu Bride on. Today I wanted to share a few extra shots with you all that didn't make the magazine spread (it turns out 8 pages just isn't enough ha!) The idea behind this shoot was simple, and the idea was sparked from an email that Nova received after an article she wrote for issue 4 about cultural representation in the wedding industry.Read more...

When Anthropologie announced the were introducing their own wedding dress line, BHLDN, in 2011, I looked enviously over at my American friends who were able to buy them. The dresses were everything the UK wedding dress market was missing - super feminine and delicate heirloom-quality wedding gowns with an elegant and modern twist. Some of the most incredible and sought-after designers were creating collections for the brand too including Catherine Deane, Vantana Watters, Tadashi Shoji, Badgley Mischka and Nicole MillerRead more...

When the initial email from Celeste at Tourism and Events Queensland came into The Blogcademy inbox asking us if we’d consider an all-expenses paid trip to Queensland I nearly deleted it, assuming it must be spam. I mean, this kind of opportunity doesn't exactly come knocking on your door everyday. After verifying that Celeste wasn't, in fact, just playing a rather cruel prank, we started to plan our epic adventure down under!Read more...

I'm not going to pretend for one second that I'm some kind of expert in the world of travel or honeymoons. BUT you may have noticed that I've done rather a lot of globe-trotting over the past 12 months. And as we're about to launch our 2014 Blogcademy world tour in a couple of weeks it would appear that it's not really going to change any time soon! So I figured, why not share some of the places I've visited and the experiences I've most enjoyed with you lovely lot? First up is a honeymooners paradise - Santorini.Read more...

One of the questions I get asked over and over again is what Gareth and I would do differently if we were getting married today. Of course my answer is always "so much!" Both of us have changed a considerable amount over the past five and a half years and our style and tastes couldn't be more different to how they were back in 2008.Read more...

It seems like a lifetime ago, but just as I'm ramping up to head off to America again this week, Made U Look Photography sent over the photos from our Disneyland adventure in April. I'd never been before and on hearing this revelation Gala encouraged... nay insisted that they take me there for my birthday. Well who am I to turn down an invitation like that?!Read more...

For the second part of our Parisian adventure it was time to leave our paradisiac apartment and venture outside. With such a limited time to shoot we knew exactly where we wanted to go - La Tour Eiffel!Read more...

Apologies, you're about to see a lot of photos of me & Gareth being soppy, silly and cute in New York... but I guess that's what happens when the Made U Look girls shoot you. It's neigh-on impossible to cut them down because they are all. so. good. This is by far both Gareth & my favourite shoots we've done together. n fact I will definitely be getting some many of these babies printed to plaster our house with.Read more...

So here we have it, the final installment of Gala & my frolic around NYC! When Christina & I first starting thinking about shooting in New York there was one place top of both of our lists - The Brooklyn Bridge! Iconic the world over, nothing screams New York more than this structure... or the amazing views from it! After a slightly hair-raising cab ride through China Town and over the Manhattan Bridge, we arrived in Brooklyn and proceeded to walk the 1.1 miles over the East River towards Manhattan.Read more...

After the exertion of jumping around the rooftop, Gala & I decided a much more leisurely pace was required for the second part of our day. So we hopped in a cab with the Made U Look girls and headed towards the uber trendy West Village.Read more...

II've been obsessed with Made U Look Photography for as long as I've been blogging. Even in the early days they were wonderful to me and allowed me to feature their beautiful weddings as much as possible. Christina, Marielle & Alie are amazing girls, and when Christina and I started whimsically chatting about one day doing a shoot together I knew we'd make it happen somehow!Read more...

For the third and final setting of the Las Vegas Lovers shoot, Gala, Nubby & I wanted to get a little mean & moody...and that meant monochrome, silver and something a bit more dramatic! We moved from our beloved Ghost Town (Nubby & I have since decided we might take up residence there...just as long as someone can sort out some interwebz for us please...) and ambled towards a good-looking piece of desert.Read more...

After the fun we had frolicking around the RV Park, Gala, Nubby & I were super excited to see the second location that David had found - an abandoned ghost town! Located in Nelson, just under an hours drive from The Strip, we were keen to get there late afternoon to make the most of the incredible early evening light...and boy did we!Read more...

Finally it's here, the shoot I've been mercilessly teasing you with! When Gala & Nubby told me they were going to be in Las Vegas at the same time as David, Lisa & I, I just about jumped at the chance for us to all shoot together. Although this shoot wasn't going to be at all wedding-related, I really couldn't wait to get my pose on with these gorgeous girlies.Read more...

What time is it? What country am I in? How do I form sentences again...? Greetings. This morning's blog post comes from a head that still hasn't quite got back on UK time. It may have been a week since I landed back at Heathrow, but I'm still finding it hard to get back on track! However waking up at 2pm and going to bed at 4am could work for me I reckon... Those of you that follow me on Twitter or Facebook will have been lucky (or unlucky, whichever way you look at it!) to have been force-fed regular updates from my Las Vegas adventure over the past few weeks, but today I thought it necessary to put off getting back to work just a little while longer in order to share some of my favourite photos and fun times from Viva Las Vegas. I'm sure some of you are sick to death of hearing all about it already...sorry about that...but for the rest of you I hope you enjoy this extra epic extra huge post dedicated to one of my new favourite places, the city they call Sin...Read more...
