Can I tell you a secret? Before a couple of weeks ago, Gareth and I had never been on a beach holiday together! That was all about to change when we partnered with Hilton Hotels in the Seychelles to not only experience some of the most glorious beaches in the world first hand, but to share it with you guys on our return. I can't quite believe how lucky I am to have seen the Seychelles with my own eyes. I'll be dreaming about this trip for the rest of my life, for sure.Read more...

Gareth and I have never taken a beach holiday together - not once in 14 years! We're much more likely to go on a ski holiday with my family (the exact opposite of a beach holiday it would seem) or on a city break. Which is why I am so excited that we're off to actual paradise next week with Hilton Seychelles!Read more...

I am so excited about today's competition I can't even tell you! As I'm sure you all gathered from last week's post, Marrakech is one of my favourite places in the world so I am SUPER PSYCHED to be sharing this contest where one of you lucky brides-to-be will win their hen do at the Dar Jaguar riad!Read more...

As much as I adore Marrakech (this recent trip was my third in two years!) it can be a very intimating and intense place. People yelling at you, motorbikes whizzing past you in narrow alleyways, donkeys pulling carts that look way too heavy for them, old men pushing enormous trailers full of everything imaginable... and all in 40°C+ heat! It's chaotic and buzzing all day and all night which is why having a calm oasis to retreat back to at the end of a long day isn't just advisable, it's a necessity!Read more...

I am very, very bad at keeping secrets, especially exciting ones! So when Sophie and I planned months ago, to take Ronnie to Paris for her birthday, I was sure I would accidentally blab. BUT I DIDN'T AND I'M SO PROUD.Read more...

When you decide to book a holiday, what's the first thing you do? You probably figure out if you want to go lie on a beach, explore a new city or throw yourselves wholeheartedly into some kind of action/ adventure sports trip. Next, you might want to know how the weather is at the time of year you plan to travel. Then you'll probably look up what the local food is like, research the must-sees and investigate all the popular sites to see if they sound like something you'd enjoy...Read more...

For most people, only one thing springs to mind when they hear the name 'Hiroshima'. As the first ever city in to suffer a nuclear attack, it has a sad history for sure, but today's Hiroshima is far from a depressing place.Read more...

One of the things I was most looking forward to on our recent trip to Japan was that we were going to take the Shinkansen (bullet train) to a few different cities. The transport in Japan is so fast and reliable and it really wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. (I wrote about our itinerary and all the ins and outs of getting the bullet train in my Japan 101 article.)Read more...

The movie Bright Lights, Big City may be about New York, but I think the concept is much more suited to Tokyo. I've been very lucky to have travelled a lot over the past few years, every time falling in love with new places, but nowhere has my heart quite like Japan's capital. I am 100% a city girl. I love the hustle and bustle, that fact that everything's open super late, and that you never know who you might meet or what whirlwind adventure you might end up on next. However Tokyo is unlike any other city I've ever been because of one major thing - the people.Read more...

It’s official: Japan is my favourite place on the planet. Gareth and I first visited Tokyo in 2008 for our honeymoon and we’ve always wanted to go back. We haven’t really had the time or money for a (non-working) holiday since then though, but at the beginning of this year we thought “Screw it, we've worked our arses off these past few years, let’s just do it!”Read more...

Ahh Marrakech. When I left in June, after a whirlwind two days with Gala and Shauna, I knew that one day I’d be back. I just didn’t realise it would be QUITE so soon. But when my sister Rachel and I were discussing her wedding décor plans recently, a quick trip over to the rainbow lined streets of the former imperial city to buy things for the wedding seemed like a perfectly logical way to spend a long weekend.Read more...

I'd heard so many amazing things about Morocco, so when Gala suggested the three of us go there after our last London Blogcademy I was so on-board for a little (big!) adventure. Not knowing much about Marrakesh other than it's loud and colourful and chaotic, I was a little nervous about what was in store, but as always, super excited to explore somewhere new.Read more...

I love London. Living just on it's doorstep means I'm there quite a lot. While it's known for being a very spendy city, there is hope for you my frugal honeymooning friends, as it also has a surprisingly high amount of free things to do. These are some of my favourites.Read more...

I first visited Vegas in February 2012 for a wedding photography conference. I kinda knew I'd love it before I even got there. It's basically like a giant theme park for adults after all! Also, living vicariously through all the hundreds of epic Vegas weddings I've featured over the years meant I was SO READY to experience it for myself.Read more...
