Heather and Anthony chose October 31st 2020 as their wedding date but they didn't want the usual themed wedding with Halloween decorations and costumes. Instead they wanted their day to feel traditional but in black instead of white, "I like to think it was quite the creepy yet classy affair", said the bride. For the colours, they went with a ghostly grey and magical magenta except for their outfits which were all-black.

Shannon and Jerry both serve in the US Navy and met through their work. They wanted to keep their September wedding as quintessentially them as possible, even if aspects of the themes didn't seem like they'd work together on paper. They included nods their love of reading with the books as centrepieces and in lieu of bridesmaid bouquets, and the gothic/ autumnal element came through in Shannon's choice of a black dress.

The Greatest Showman was a big inspiration for Jenn and Sean's Pittsburgh wedding. They took vintage carnival elements, mixed it with a black and red gothic aesthetic and created magic! They even had circus performers at both the ceremony and reception. Stilt walkers acted as flower girls and when they said 'We do', a fire breather blew out a big fireball!

Kate and Chris were lucky enough to win their wedding though a giveaway! Together with their suppliers they then planned the wedding for a year. They wanted something a little bit mystical, gothic and glam and wanted to use lots of black as well as other darker colours. They had crystal balls, potion bottles and books as part of the décor. They also used a lot of black lace as well as vintage table wear

Although they had to downscale their plans because of COVID-19, they still managed to pull off their dream wedding and as an unexpected bonus of having less guests, they came in $8,000 under budget!

Originally budgeting $5,000 for their June wedding, as they had to change their plans due to the pandemic, Sayer and Philip actually only ended up spending $2,000! They were inspired by nature and the most important part for them was the ceremony. It was held at Big Bear National Forest in California and they hired their friend of seven years, Priestess Shannon Farley-Schonland, to officiate.
