"Regula & Bruno rock my world"...that's how photographer Assassynation introduced me to this bad ass couple when she sent me their wedding. The pair are from Belgium but wanted to be married in England. Their ceremony day was followed by a tea party reception and spooky photo shoot in an abandoned fairground (!) in their home country a few weeks later. Luckily for us all, this second part took place just last weekend and believe me, I'm going to be featuring it just as soon as the photos are ready! But for now, it's all about the ceremony...

Tina & Scott’s Travel Themed Crafty Wedding

Tina & Scott's travel and craft themed wedding took place at The Greenbranch, Texas. It was predominately a DIY wedding influenced by the couple's travels. "It was mostly a do-it-your self peacock inspired wedding with a splash of anything vintage was a blast," the couple told me. "Our invitations were an image of a vintage suitcase with travel stickers of places we have visited. This connected with our first date; a “geocaching date”. We not only wanted to share our journey as a couple with our guests but also encourage them to have an adventure of their own. The wedding favors for the evening were uniquely trackable geocaching coins designed by us."

Ut oh...new wedding obsession heading your way. Seriously, Amanda & Tyson's wedding is what dreams are made of and I'm so excited to share the full thing, in all it's colourful glory on these pages. Some of you might know Tyson. He is the genius behind this site, and a pin up artist (I actually found his site myself when I was searching for tattoo inspiration.) So needless to say, with such a creative groom, this wedding was always going to be bad ass. The wedding was held at Highland Falls in Blairsville, GA. Amanda's stunning green dress was by Teri Jon and she wore it with Jessica Simpson shoes which she added peacock clips from The Headband Shoppe on Etsy to tie in with the theme. She also used the decorative shoulder strap of the dress as her headpiece which gave her a really unique look.

By working in the industry for so long, Catherine knew exactly what she did (and didn't!) want for her big day and the result was a fabulous and eclectic one.

I actually featured a link to Cassie & Loc's gorgeous wedding in Thursday Treats two weeks ago as I'll be honest, with most of photographer Jonas Peterson's weddings, I figured one of the big daddy American blogs would have snapped it up to feature instantly (this dude's work is in high demand!) So you can imagine my surprise and excitement when I received an email from the bride to not only tell me I'd made her day by linking to her wedding, but that she was a huge Rock n Roll Bride fan and that she'd love for me to feature them. When I laid eyes on Lowina & Philsy's wedding the only thing I could said was "OMG so cute!" Seriously, you get that right? How adorable are they? Adorable in a kick ass Rock n Roll way though you understand... The couple, who met in 2006 at a fashion trade show in Hong Kong, got married in Philsy's parent's back garden in Victoria, Australia. It was important to the pair to not only plan a gorgeous wedding but to make sure it truly reflected them as individuals as well as their Chinese heritage. They also were certain it had to be unique and fun!

Gloomy and grey weather doesn't have to spell disaster for your wedding day - and in actual fact I think the darker atmosphere and evening-only event worked perfectly for Sarah & Matt's gothic-inspired wedding! The wedding took place at Riverlife, an outdoor activity centre in Brisbane which also has a number of gorgeous venues, perfect for a wedding! The evening event started with pre-ceremony drinks and canapes for the guests. "We’ve been told that our absence at the start really added to the atmosphere, especially with our DIY decorations adorning the venue," said Sarah when I asked about their idea behind this. "Neither of us were at the venue when the event started. We arrived after the guests had an hour of canapes. While the guests were awaiting our arrival, the decorations served as a talking point, and since they could see that we’d gone to so much effort on the tables, it added to their anticipation to see our outfits and everything else that was to follow."

Rachel & Dale may have got married in Vegas first, but having a goth perfect UK wedding was also very important to them. The couple, who's outrageous punk rock engagement session I featured back in July, told me all about their awesome wedding, both here and in Viva Las Vegas! Rock music, choreographed lights, smoke machines and dry ice were what was required for this fabulously theatrical wedding!

Rachael & Rafe were uninterested in a traditional religious or civil ceremony so decided to get married on their own terms. They were wed by one of their closest friends, Tara, in a pagan hand-fasting service which took place outside, in a small copsed wood locally known as "The Spinney". They knew very early on in their planning that this was where they wanted to get married as the couple had spent some time living on a narrow-boat on the river, and for that period The Spinney was their garden, "It was where we hung out, relaxed, partied and where our children played. It is full of trees and love and so naturally the first place we both thought of for our ceremony" the couple told me.

Chen Lie & Thom got married in Oz in a crazy, wild and fun party way. She is Australian and he is British (they now live and work in Prague!) so they decided to head over to Chen Lie's hometown of Perth for their 1960s/70s/John & Yoko inspired wedding.

The whole wedding was perfectly put together and customised by the couple to give the day a truly unique feel. Everything from Michelle's dress - which she bought as a 'standard' dress and had red tulle and the red waist panel added to it and veil - which her Mum made; to the centrepieces - which they made themselves with a mix of antique Coke bottles with sand, red water, a gerbera and curled wood; to the placecards and invitations- which they also made themselves, were unique and interesting.

Amanda & Marcel's Florida engagement session was a gift from their friend Mireya at Axiom Photo Studio. "From the moment Marcel and I got engaged, Mireya called us up and said...'I have a vision' " Amanda told me. "She told us where and when to meet and she would take care of the rest. I decided to hit up a few Goodwill stores the night before and ended up getting my entire wardrobe for under $20. She knew she wanted to capture "us" and "Miami" and she really did. She took us to some kick-ass graffiti walls in Wynwood and then we traveled back to Little Havana for some cafecito. The whole shoot took about four hours and we all had a blast (including our 2 chihuahuas)."

You don't see enough Asian weddings in blog land which surprises me really as they are so colourful and full of love that one would think they were perfect blogging material. Luckily for me, photographer Tapas Maiti, who specialises in these weddings, send me this gorgeous Muslim wedding last week. I have a couple of Indian friends and I am always intrigued to hear about their epic wedding celebrations and how different they are to the western wedding. OK so this was the Australian wedding that I'd planned on posting yesterday but me being a bit pink (as apposed to blond) I forgot about the crazy time difference between here and Oz so when I was emailing the photographers to get the info I needed, unsurprisingly they weren't replying because it was like 3 in the morning or something. Aaaanyway it matters not because NOW my babies I am able to share this fan-bloody-tastic wedding with you...and I'm so pumped to hear what you think. I literally wet myself with excitement when I saw Madeline's purple and green dress! Madeline & Nic decided very early on that they didn't want a traditional wedding - the bride's two sisters had both done the white wedding thing and although their days were beautiful and perfect for them, it wasn't quite right for this couple. "We are non-traditionalists (hence no white/ no flowers/ no favours/ no wedding cake/ no sit-down dinner) and we wanted a wedding that reflected our personalities and relationship. Bit crazy, lots of fun, different and unique" the pair told me.

I didn't plan today's post this way but when I was uploading all the images for the weddings I selected I realised we're going to be taking a little trip all around the world - starting with this amazing red themed wedding from South Africa! Philip & Jay's wedding took place at Le Franschhoek Hotel and Spa, overlooking the spectacular South African landscape. The location made for some really unusual and fun places for their portraits. The incredible decor was all organised by Andene of Aleit Wedding Planners who was able to perfectly capture their vision of a eclectic, red-infused spectacular! I am totally nuts about those red glasses hanging from the roof and the ornate chandelier lying on the table - just amazing and so so original!
