When we viewed the house and spotted the weird 1960s, curved, brown greenhouse stuck to the back of it, the first thing we said was "Well that's gotta go right away!" It had broken panes of glass everywhere, you have to walk through it to get out to the garden, and carpet... YES CARPET on the ground. I didn't think there was ever anything worse than carpet on a bathroom floor, but apparently I was wrong.Read more...

I am probably the only person I know not totally watching Game of Thrones but after hearing almost everyone I know raving about it, I'm determined to find some time to give it a go! I know 99% of the population are all-out obsessed right now, so when Danielle and Donovan's VIKING THEMED WEDDING landed in my inbox I knew I had to share it immediately! The best part of the whole thing? They pulled the entire wedding off for just $6000!Read more...

Ruby and Lukasz hosted their cat themed wedding party in October but they were actually legally married a year earlier. "We were broke, we'd just moved countries to the Isle of Man and we just wanted to get married so we eloped and got pizza afterwards!" Ruby explained. A classic wedding with a retro Rock n Roll vibe is how I'd best describe Chloe-Rose and Michael's Melbourne wedding. They wanted to keep things local and relevant to their everyday lives so that meant the bride wore a short dress from a high street store and the ceremony and reception were held in some of their favourite local spots.Read more...

Megan and Mason wanted their wedding to feel like 'them'. While the bride scoured the Internet for real-wedding inspiration, ultimately they just wanted it to represent them as a couple. They planned the day together, equally, and were able to incorporate lots of little personalised elements.Read more...

Holly and Laura met on a dating website. Both very shy, it allowed them to get to know each other really well before they met and once they did they immediately hit it off. "The first time we met in real life was at Waterloo station and both of us were ridiculously early!" Holly laughed. "We went to an art exhibition at the Southbank Centre. From there we walked and talked down the Southbank to Borough before jumping on a tube to Soho where we had a few drinks and lots of laughs."Read more...

This week I was going to write about drains. Yes, drains. And then I realised how fucking boring that would be so I checked myself and went on an Instagram binge instead. If anyone is interest in said drain problems the (very short) version is that the drains at the front of the house are blocked (we're not sure with what yet but Gareth suspects its roots from some of our trees) meaning the garage and driveway flooded pretty badly a few weeks ago. If you picked up a copy of issue 14, you will have already seen our "Art Bride" editorial shoot that my fashion team and I put together. Doing the editorial shoots for the magazine is one of the the highlights my job. I feel very much like a character in a rom com from 2005, where the heroine works at a fancy magazine in New York when I do this kind of stuff (ha!)Read more...

Charlie and Chris were married in Sheffield. The theme was robots and skulls and they had little nods to both of those things everywhere you looked. "I’m not sure many weddings have quite so many robots included!" Charlie laughed. "They’re very important to both of us so needed to be a pretty big part of the wedding.Read more...
