We LOVE Megan and Phil's unique and stylish wedding theme. A mixture of yellow, blush and nude tones with citrus fruits used as decor, they created a really beautiful, yet totally 'them' summer celebration (plus Phil is a chef so incorporating ingredients into their table settings felt very fitting!) Having the bridal party all in white really let the decor touches shine too - sometimes (sometttimesss!) less really is more!

They were always going to elope and luckily, even though a lockdown was imminent, Jodi and Terry were still able to go ahead with their intimate March wedding. They'd booked into have their quicky ceremony at Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago (which was free!) and a friend, who got ordained especially for the event, hosted the proceedings. They had no guests at the ceremony, which was always their plan. They really didn't want a big wedding or any fuss. The idea was for it to just feel like a fancy day out.

Dinka and Renier, who are German but live in South Africa, realised that their marriage license was going to expire during lockdown. Not wanting to start the whole planing process again, they decided to bite the bullet and get married the very next day, before lockdown came into effect. Although it was different to what they had in mind for their wedding, they don't regret the way they did it at all!

Describing their wedding theme as 'Poe-ho' (Edgar Allan Poe meets boho), Morgan and Aristotle were married in February in Texas. The inspiration was dark and moody romantic with a hint of vintage flair. Almost all of the decor (the rugs, candlesticks, vases, lanterns, etc) were sourced from vintage and antique stores. The place cards were made by the bride and her cousin, Kathleen, from tile which they wrote everyone's name on and Kathleen also painted the seating chart onto reclaimed windows.

Bethany and Ryan's styled their summer 2019 wedding impeccably with 70s influences and a laid back vibe. They chose a warehouse space, The Ellis Building in Vancouver, as the venue, which they loved because it was a real blank canvas, didn't have too many fussy details but also didn't need much in the way of extra decorations - it was super cool on it's own. They really just wanted to have a big party with their friends and family, to eat tacos and drink tequila!

Kat

July 24, 2020

Well here's a blog post I never in a million years thought I'd be putting together - the best face masks to keep you safe (but crucially stylish!) on your socially distanced wedding day. WHAT A GODDAMN WORLD. It's important to be safe and keep others around you safe too, and with wearing them in enclosed public spaces becoming mandatory from today (July 24th) in England, you're going to need to stock up.

Living and working in London but both originally from up north, Fiona and Jack, who met when they both auditioned for the same band at uni (the band is still going and they have been making and releasing music together for their entire relationship!) planned a retro inspired wedding in Whitby. It's a place they have spent a lot of time in with family over the years so it was a very sentimental place for them to tie the knot. The autumn day started with a ceremony at Whitby registry office before a walk down to the seafront to play on to 2p arcade games and have their photos taken. The reception was then held at a recently reopened old church centre which they decorated and made their own.

Vicky and Rich's magical festival wedding day was full of fun, colour and a whole lot of creativity. They had real life unicorns (OK, OK so Shetland ponies with horns on but same-same), Pimms on the lawn, a baby pink ice-cream van and delicious food served from some of Cambridge's most popular food vans. There was a colourful botanical theme to the decorations which were all made by the bride, her mum and the groom. Vicky's mum, who owns a haberdashery shop in Cambridge, also added some colourful personal touches to Vicky's tea-length WED2B dress.
