With a budget of just $2000, Matt and Kat said "I do" at their own home the day after Halloween. "We christened our newly purchased house for our wedding!" the bride said. "We had spent several months renovating the old home’s interior but hadn't moved in yet, so all the rooms in the house were empty. We transformed a (future) bedroom into a bar, another bedroom into a dinner/pot luck area. We strung friends’ borrowed Christmas lights all over the house, set up a PA system in the empty living room and called it a venue with a dance floor! Our new neighbour, George, who became a great friend during our move, let us perform the ceremony in the empty lot next to his house."Read more...

Last week I spent five glorious days in Las Vegas. While a lot of people claim that a couple of nights in Sin City is more than enough, I couldn't disagree more! I had a great time and could have stayed for a month! I'll be writing all about my trip in epic detail soon (including sharing all about the David Copperfield and Britney Spears shows - both were incredible!) If you're planning to marry or honeymoon in Vegas you are in for a treat.Read more...

Ross and Gem were married at the Medieval Banquet Hall at the Park Hall Hotel, which set the theme for the day. "Our inspiration came from our love of ‘old’ England", began the bride. "We adore its majesty and history. We weren't particularly taken by the ‘average’ wedding with pastel colours, white linen, paper straws and sugared almonds, ans we wanted something people would remember. I also wanted to do loads of DIY in the run up. We spent a lot of time making sure that everyone would be entertained throughout. Not many weddings have fire eaters and King Arthur as the toastmaster!Read more...

Julia and Rogerio met on a plane. They were both going to a music festival in São Paulo. After chatting for the whole flight, they had a second chance meeting the the middle of 20,000 others at the festival itself. Then they were sat besides each other on the flight home. I guess you could say it was fate! As they met in their air, they wanted this to be reflected in their wedding, three years later.Read more...

It was a hot day and she actually though she was a friend who was popping over. I guess after that there was no going back! They couple got together soon after and married in NYC this January.Read more...

Happy Sunday one and all. I got back from my Vegas trip yesterday afternoon and I'm up early and raring to get back to work. I don't know about you, but as much as I love to travel, I almost love to come home even more. Getting back into your routine after a week of excess is quite the simple pleasure! I'll be writing a much more detailed post all about my trip stateside soon (I have some epic Vegas recommendations for those of you that might be getting married or honeymooning there) but for now I wanted to close the week with yet another beautiful wedding.Read more...
