Ash and Nick are both actors who have also had experience in designing, directing and film editing. They knew they wanted to do something funny and creative for their engagement shoot, rather than the standard cheesy hug-each-other-and-smile-in-a-dreamy-field kind of pictures. Massive horror and Halloween fans too, the idea of recreating some of their favourite TV and movie scenes fell into place after that!

Chris and Allison's handfasting witch doctor wedding in the woods was completely homemade. The bride made her own dress and wore shoes from eBay, which she decorated herself. She also made her own headpiece. The flowers were put together by the couple themselves, they created their own invitations, they even self-catered the whole event!

Alex and Maddy had different ideas about what their wedding should be like, but luckily they learned to compromise! "When we first started discussing the type of wedding we wanted, we realised we were on opposite ends of the spectrum", explained the bride. "Alex would have been more than happy with a simple registry office with minimal guests whereas I wanted something where we could celebrate with all of our friends and family, where I could feel a bit like a princess for the day! In the end we agreed on a rustic woodland theme and kept to a relatively small budget considering the size of our guest list. We had 105 people (big families!)."

They had a £3000 budget, had their reception at a community hall and the bride wore a dress made by her mum from organic cotton an bamboo. Tara and Aaron had a woodland wedding in Canada. They wanted their day to feel natural, organic and to be as enjoyable for their guests as possible. "The theme for the day was really brought to life when I chose my wedding dress", Tara said. "It was dip-dyed so that it had a very subtle purple ombre. That was the moment that our colour palette was chosen. We used lavender, grey, white and green. We wanted everything to look very natural since we were in the woods."
