Hollie and Adrian wanted their wedding to feel relaxed and just really chilled out. They decided to host their reception in their own back garden which meant they could do exactly what they wanted. The ceremony was held in their local parish church, just a stone's throw from home, which they decorated with all the flowers and foliage! In fact the flowers ended up being their single biggest cost of the otherwise DIY wedding, but they provided exactly the look they were after for their day.Read more...

Brad and Rachel value their individuality so it was a no-brainer to the couple that their June 2019 wedding reflected everything that they hold dear. They also wanted to make sure that they didn’t sweat the small stuff, that they focused on having a good time over spending a lot of money, and they wanted it to be real.Read more...

Inspired by their incredible venue, Preston Court in Kent which comes complete with a vintage carousel, Sammy and Thomas planned their October wedding with fairground and circus vibes. They met online, on a music sharing website, when the bride was 16 and the groom, 17. They bonded over their mutual appreciation for the same music and even though Soraya lived in Northern Ireland and Koysor in Birmingham they became firm friends. They finally met in person five months later when Soyaya was over in London for a visit. Koysor travelled down to meet her and they became boyfriend and girlfriend (aww).Read more...

Tori and Richard didn't have lots of extra cash to drop on their May wedding, so instead of going into debt they simply decided to make peace with it and to plan the wedding they wanted within their £4500 means. They sold things they no longer needed (like fancy silverware that they NEVER used or even looked at) in order to raise the funds they needed ("It transpires we wanted a wedding DJ more than a canteen of fancy spoons!") We are ALL about this attitude here at Rock n Roll Bride by the way!Read more...

Meet Tesni and Andrew: Married on May 4th, they had small touches of Star Wars throughout the day, but also included their other favourite movies and novels (lots of Terry Pratchett!) in the table names and decorations. This is a bit of a bittersweet feature today as the bride, Kathy, is battling breast cancer and is currently in her final few days. As Kathy's heath had taken a bad turn, and after twelve years together, the couple decided to finally do everything they ever wanted to do with whatever time they have left, including getting married. They were married on 17th May in a day full of love, colour and punk rock!. They planned their utterly bad ass day with just a £2000 budget and a hell of a lot of love and support from all their friends and family.Read more...

Jo and Tom wanted to take the bare bones of a traditional wedding and make it more fun. Their guests entertainment was their prime objective! They’d both been to weddings where there was a lot of waiting around which they found dull so ensured that from the beginning to the end of their day they had entertainment. Coupled with the idea that the day should reflect them as a couple, nothing more, nothing less - their grown-up circus themed wedding was born!Read more...
