Jon and Steph’s love story had a rocky start - they met at a military charity boxing event on the army base where Jon was posted, but just a week later was posted over 180 miles away. Undeterred by this, they spent every night together in the time they had left, and Jon promised when he left that he would come back to see Steph at weekends. “I don’t think I really believed he would, so was happily proved wrong when he came back two weeks later!” Their determination to make things work paid off, and they were married in December.Read more...

There's a hybrid wedding trend we're seeing a lot these days - not quite an elopement, but definitely not a big wedding either. Jay and Brian knew this was what they wanted for their nuptials. They didn't want to entirely run away and do it on their own, but they didn't want to host a ton of people and drop a huge amount of money on it either. So, they found a comfortable mid-way point and married at Hackney Town Hall, followed by a meal at a local restaurant with just 14 guests (and their sausage dog, Duncan!)Read more...

Lucie and Tommy's London wedding was inspired by the bride's love of pink, their mutual appreciation for the tropical aesthetic and the 1950s, and London, where the day took place. The bride arrived at Hackney Town Hall in a pink Cadillac, her bridal party all wore pink dresses from Coast and their reception decor was all shades from pastel to fuchsia and everything in between. They served their favourite junk food (burgers and Domino's pizza!) and had one hell of a party!Read more...

Both big music fans, Broden and Marnie met at a Jezabels gig in Brisbane. They bonded quickly, geeking out over their mutual music taste, and after exchanging thousands of messaged post-gig, they became a couple. They didn't officially get engaged in the traditional sense. They were apart for a few months (Marnie in London and Broden in Australia) and one night during a marathon five-hour Skype call they just kind of mutually decided that they should get married. Instead of an engagement ring for either of them, they got matching mallard duck tattoos on their chests.Read more...

Rebecca and Tom had an unusual inspiration for the theme of their wedding day - their own house! “We got engaged in our ‘blue room’,” explained Rebecca, “which is a deep teal and we’ve decorated it with copper accents. We then went wedding venue shopping and saw Wylam Brewery in Newcastle had similar features to our house - blues and greys, parquet flooring, industrial decoration. Tom was also keen to use as much wedding stuff in our house afterwards and because Wylam is a similar age and style to our house, we wanted to make wedding features and decoration that would look fitting in both.Read more...

Zara and Alex didn't want a big fancy wedding, so they decided to just have an intimate legal ceremony with a few witnesses and their baby daughter present.
