Kristen and Pete were married at Panama Dining Room in Fitzroy, Victoria. Their theme was very much influenced by their venue, and the bride's love of all things vintage. "The wedding was a goth/ tropical/ Art Deco in black and white mash-up," began the bride . "Think Flying Down to Rio meets The Addams Family. We also decided we wanted everyone to wear a hat, as Pete is known for always wearing one."

If you weren't expecting to see a wedding today where the bride looks like a straight-up SUPERMODEL then, dear reader, you were very wrong. There is something so magically simple yet bad-freakin'-ass about this wedding. Chloe and CJ didn't go overboard on the extras or the details, the little touches were minimal but the perfect amount of edgy and personalised. I mean they created custom enamel pins for their wedding favours for goodness sake. ALL the wedding goals coming at ya...

A Midsummer Eco-Friendly Bohemian Glasshouse Wedding

Elemental Weddings

December 13, 2018

Raych and Stu are both creatives, so their imagination ran away with them a little when they dreamed up their wedding day. The initial inspiration was Midsummer Night’s Dream - an ethereal, boho, garden vibe with touches of magic throughout. No matter where their dreams took them, they stuck to two non-negotiables for decision making for their big day - every element should be about them and their guests instead of following a tradition, and it had to be eco-conscious; everything would be be reused, recycled, environmentally friendly, or where things were bought, they would be from small businesses.

Bohemian Peaky Blinders Wedding with Lots of DIY

December 4, 2018

Charlie and Mark had a pretty unconventional, NSFW engagement shoot (which is actually one of my favourites we've ever published!) so, unsurprisingly, their September wedding shunned tradition too. They decided that they wanted a bohemian inspired by with elements of Peaky Blinders and Wes Anderson. They did lots of DIY projects to make their day feel really special and personal. In particular they arranged all the flowers and created all the paper goods (invites, table plan, order of the day etc).

Friday 13th Galaxy Themed Backyard Wedding

Tommie Marshell

October 30, 2018

Amy and Emil tore up the wedding rule-book from the very beginning of their wedding planning; they held their big day in the bride's parents' backyard and kept it small and intimate. They didn’t have a bridal party, instead wanting all their guests to sit back and enjoy the ceremony together. They even got married on Friday 13th - unlucky for some, but as the couple started dating on a Friday 13th and got engaged the same date a few years later, it only made sense for them to continue their lucky streak!

Brides wearing leather or denim jackets is nothing new (in fact I'd say it's probably one of the 'trends' I see more than anything else these days!) So, when a bride is able to take something we see a lot, twist it on it's head and make it 100% her own, well we are DOWN. That's precisely what Gia did when she married Adam in August. She wore a quite traditional dress but added a twist of 'her' with her custom made jacket by Charlotte Hudson.

Hold onto your handbags because my goodness do we have an utter beaut of a wedding for you today! Jody and Shane were married last summer and it was GLORIOUS. They met at an alternative bar in Camden, "Not the most romantic setting. I was climbing a pole into the ceiling tiles, he came over interested in what this multicoloured haired ape was doing!" the bride laughed. "We danced on some tables, kissed and exchanged numbers - Love at first sight you could say!"

Katy and Mark are my new best friends. No, but in all seriousness, their wedding looks like SO MUCH FUN and I think you're going to fall in love with them instantly. With a loose theme of colour and fun, a focus on it being a carbfest (we're talking fish and chips for and then Dominos later on) and eclectic and wonderful decor, it's a super beautiful and inspiring day by all accounts.

Uber-cool Hackney Wedding with a Canal Boat Arrival

October 16, 2018

Gigi and Ale's big day deserves big words: This is one of my favourite weddings I've ever seen, ever, and that includes in every outlet and in every Instagram scroll. In their own words, "The whole day oozed relaxation and the ability for everyone to dismiss the fact that weddings are quite often stuffy and just let loose!" They arrived on a canal boat waving flares, left wearing trainers, and in the middle did a whole lot of incredible celebrating...
