If I've said it once, I've said it a billion times - investing in your wedding photography is SO important. However in all the discussions we've had on this topic, there's one thing that's often forgotten (and I'll admit, even by me sometimes) and that is the wedding video. I understand why so many couples decide to not have one. Whether its budget constraints, memories of cheesy 90s VHS tapes, thinking you'll probably never watch it afterwards, or not liking how you look or sound on film. So I decided to open the discussion on the topic in the Rock n Roll Bride Facebook group. Here's just a very small sampling of what they had to say.Read more...

Le Colonel Moutarde, a family run business hailing from France, was launched when co-founder Remi stated looking for quirky, patterned bow ties for himself. He struggled to find anything he liked so he decided to make his own! With a passion for sewing passed on by his grandmother, it was the obvious solution.Read more...

I've visited the village a number of times since then, always leaving with something fabulous yet affordable (my best find was my DREAM Vivienne Westwood handbag that I'd been lusting over for months which I got half off!)Read more...

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, more than anything else in your wedding, you should invest as much as you can in your wedding photographs. After the cake has been eaten and the dress is relegated to the back of your wardrobe, the photos taken of your special day are all that remain (well, apart from the marriage of course!) They will sit on your parents' mantelpiece forever and when you're old and grey you'll be dragging out that photo album to show your grandkids how young and gorgeous you looked.Read more...

Carly's only stipulation was that I wore grey. Easy. We went to one place and ordered my dress then and there.Read more...

It's no secret that Rock n Roll brides love short, 1950s style prom wedding dresses. In fact I often think it is probably the style I'd wear if I was getting married again. Not only are they super duper flattering to nearly every body shape, but the short style gives some much needed sass to a wedding day ensemble! When my friends at True Bride, who have just launched a fifties-inspired range, got in touch to ask if I'd like to give away one of the dresses from their brand new Brighton Belle collection, after sobbing a little that I couldn't be the one to win it, I jumped at the chance!Read more...
