Teal & Turquoise Vegan Wedding in Vegas

Claire and Alex love gaming. From board games to apps and video games, they’re always at it so this was the first thing they knew had to play (boom boom) a big part in their Vegas wedding. They hired retro arcade games and had giant board games for their guests to play at their reception.

“We play a lot of video games, apps and board games (and love the Circus Circus arcade!) so we themed our wedding around this”, said the bride “We made the invites and order of service ourselves as well as our wedding website, all with a gaming theme, which we’re pretty proud of.”

They also wanted the entire wedding to be vegan – all the food and drink but also Claire’s dress, which was from Lucy Can’t Dance, and shoes. They also used felt flowers instead of real ones which not only looked great but they got to keep forever!

Grungy Las Vegas Dive Bar Wedding with the Bride in Black

Prepare thyself, because this may just be the ultimate Rock n Roll Bride wedding! A quickie Vegas ceremony, the bride rocking her baby pink quiff with a striking black wedding dress and a raucous after party that went on all night long! Oh yes, there is so much to love about this epic celebration (even if someone did break their leg in the process – oops!)

Claire and Joe were married in October. After their Little White Chapel ceremony they headed to The Peppermill for food and ReBar (a antique bar where everything is for sale!) for all the partying. After a few hours they then went and got tattoos done followed by karaoke at Dinos, the last neighbourhood bar in Vegas!

“Our wedding was a Las Vegas Rock n Roll grunge dive bar tour!” began the bride. “I have always wanted to get married in Vegas and to wear a black Vera Wang dress. The vibe of the wedding had the feeling of an elopement, yet we had 40 friends and family there. It wasn’t a very traditional wedding but very true to us. We had a party bus that transported everyone from place to place on the day – we even got a group photo at the Las Vegas sign.”

Low Profile & Authentically Them Rock n Roll Las Vegas Vow Renewal

What’s better than a Vegas wedding? TWO Vegas weddings that’s what! Marcela and Padro were married in Vegas in 2015 (we featured the wedding here!) in the most bad ass, American Hustle inspired day. They returned to Sin City and decided to renew they vows in the same chapel. They also hired the same photographer, the amazing Kristen Marie Parker, to document their second jaunt down the aisle.

The pair, who live in Brazil, met when they were in school. “He is younger than me and I was friends with his brother”, explained Marcela. “We had had friends in common all of our lives, but never hung out together. I married young (at 22) to someone else and had kids but we split some years later. After I was divorced we saw each other at a bar and started messaging each other however I was dating someone else at the time so nothing happened.”

“Six months later he called me and we started seeing each other. I had a holiday booked in Morocco with my kids a few weeks after we got together. He booked a ticket and flew there to be with us. We started going out and have lived together practically since day one, almost seven years ago now.”

A Lazy Las Vegas Elopement

After getting engaged, Ben and Laura very briefly considered having a ‘normal’ wedding – but after thinking about how much planning and organising would be involved quickly vetoed that idea. “We agreed we definitely didn’t want a big wedding,” said Laura, “so when Ben cheekily suggested Vegas, I agreed immediately!”

While they didn’t have a particular budget in mind, in total for their trip they think they spent around £5,000. “Our flights and hotel were our biggest expense,” said Laura. “We figured as we weren’t splashing out on a big wedding, we should book an amazing hotel.” They saved big time by having no guests present, so there was no big catering tab to pick up, or reception venue to pay for. The both wore highstreet outfits – Laura in a jumpsuit from Coast, and Ben in Joules, and made them their own by adding accessories from Etsy and things they already owned. They relinquished extras like hair and makeup (“I dragged my hair into a low bun with my own fair hands!”) in favour of focusing on what really mattered to them – ending their day being married to each other and celebrating just got they liked it; low key and lazy.

Las Vegas Vow Renewal with a Pink Princess Dress & Photos at the Seven Magic Mountains

Colour. Laughter. Desert Magic. These are just a few ways to describe today’s gorgeous vow renewal in Las Vegas! Brighton based photographer Lisa Devlin was travelling around LA and Vegas on a family holiday in October and Rebecca and Johnathan, also from the UK, decided it was an opportunity too good to miss and booked her to shoot their vow renewal at the same time! Talk about winning the jackpot!

They had their fun-filled ceremony at A Little White Wedding Chapel in their infamous Tunnel of Love. “Elvis was in full character the minute we arrived and made a fuss of us,” began Rebecca, “from helping with my shoes and asking what song we wanted him to sing, to going crazy when our photographer said she was called Lisa Marie!”

Seventies Inspired Vegas Elopement with a Seven Month’s Pregnant Bride!

Pia and Chris met through their mutual love of Rock n Roll, when they were both using the same recording studio. Pia ended up joining Chris’ band and they’ve been playing together ever since.

They got engaged on Valentine’s Day and the very next day they found out she was pregnant! They began by trying to plan a big family wedding, with guests from New Zealand (where Chris is from) and the US (where Pia is from) travelling over to the UK (where they now live) but it all proved quite difficult and stressful with a baby on the way. In the end they decided to throw tradition completely out the window and to elope. This also negated the issue of having a religious ceremony. With the bride’s family being Hindu and the groom’s, Christian, they would have probably ended up needing two ceremonies to keep everyone happy, which they really did not want. So, with Pia seven months pregnant they flew to Vegas and were married by Elvis instead!

“Our wedding had a retro and 1970s feel with an old school Vegas vibe”, Pia said. “We are very inspired by the fashion, music and the general feeling of the 1970s so this inspired our wedding too. I love looking at old, classic weddings photos of Mick and Bianca Jagger, Priscilla and Elvis, John and Yoko and the final scene in The Graduate. I also love pictures of the Beatles in India and wanted to bring in some of those elements and my family’s traditions in with the Hindu garlands and the bindi.”

Their ceremony was held at The Graceland Chapel which they followed by taking photographs around the city with their photographer Ashley Marie Myers, ending the night with a private dinner for two at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant overlooking the Bellagio fountains.
