Bianca and Richard's wedding was held on Big Bay Beach in Cape Town. This was very definitely a family affair with the bride's mother making the stationery and helping Bianca fold all those paper origami flowers, and both her parents helping with the catering. Courtney and Nick wanted a day that didn't break the bank. They managed to keep the costs down by shopping in charity shops, accepting help from family and friends and DIYing a lot! They put the flowers together themselves, had a playlist instead of a band or DJ and made their own stationery. Both of their outfits were "lucky finds on the internet". Alex and Sophia were married at Stoke Newington Town Hall, followed by a reception at The Draper’s Arms pub in Islington, London. They day had a subtle vintage vibe - from Sophia's Jenny Packham dress and Flo and Percy headpiece, to the retro photo booth and polaroid shots their photographer Lisa Jane took! Emily and Bernard were married at Doe Bay Resort on Orcas Island in Washington. They wanted an intimate, special day and didn't want to spend a lot of cash so they also thrifed wherever they could. Emily's dress was by Free People, her shoes were from Goodwill and her jewellery was all vintage. Bernard's outfit was also second-hand and all the flowers were picked from a nearby wood!Read more...

After their ceremony at Lothian Chambers in Edinburgh, Will and Rowan hosted a low key reception at St Columba's by the Castle, which was walking distance for all their guests. On May 3rd, and with just £5000 to spend, Charly and Phil were married at Church of The Good Shepherd in Tadworth. They had their thrifty reception in the church hall next door! The bride wore a Nataya 'Titanic' dress and carried a homemade crochet bouquet. They saved cash by DIYing pretty much everything, from the flowers to the cake to the catering! Wanting to combine two of their biggest passions for their big day, Nick and Kelli had a surf and flower inspired wedding. All the guys wore colourful Hawaiian shirts and the girls were in brightly patterned summer dresses! Kelli's dress was vintage, from the 1940s and cost her $8! The day was held outdoors, at The Litchi Orchard in Salt Rock, Durban. "Our wedding was surf inspired", wrote Kelli, "as we both surf and after watching the 80s classic North Shore together, we knew the theme we wanted straight away! Jo and Tony were married by a small lake on a friend's property in Denmark, on the south coast of Western Australia. The bride wore a dress from an op shop (she actually only decided the morning of the wedding what she would be wearing, after several changes of clothes!) and clear wellington boots!
