Rock n Roll Bride is a wedding magazine for people that hate wedding magazines. This is why I started my entire business, as the antithesis to everything I disliked about the wedding world while I was planning my own wedding. Nothing about that has changed, in fact, I think it's something we're leaning into even more as the brand and business has grown. We really just want to show you that you DO NOT HAVE to have what's trendy, popular, cool or 'normal' when you get married. The landscape of the wedding industry looks very different in 2020 than it did in 2007, but there is still so much work to do. There are still things to question, things to shake up and convention and expectation to reject. It's our job to show you the way, it's your job to make your own decisions about what you want and DO NOT WANT your wedding to be. If you agree with me then you are going to LOVE the latest issue of Rock n Roll Bride magazine, which is on pre-sale today!Read more...

Gone are the days (thank the lord) of brides wearing what is expected of them. Dwindling is the era of big puffy dresses and five-hour wedding breakfasts. The change in bridal trends over the last few years has been rapid and fearless. But what has made us buck tradition quite so boldly? We spoke to Hannah Ollichon of iconic British bridal jumpsuit brand, House of Ollichon, all about itRead more...

Ya know, we may not be able to be together in the same physical location right now, but that doesn't mean the wedding industry stops. I'm getting so excited when I see vendors using this unprecedented down time to get creative so hats off and standing ovations to Lisa and Neil of Him and Her Wedding Photography for this out-of-the-box thinking!Read more...

Arlene and Lee love the fifties aesthetic, rockabilly and hot rods. So, when it came to setting a theme for their summer wedding, there was no question what it would be! They chose Tomlinson's Farm Shop and Camping field for both the ceremony and and reception. Although they were the first wedding that had ever been held there, they knew it was perfect for their vision as soon as they visited. They loved the views and the owners were so accommodating - they even supplied the haybales.Read more...

Paloma and Cole wanted a laid-back, typical New Orleans wedding. They both really love to travel, so wanted to have their wedding somewhere unique that they would want to plan a vacation to. Most of all they wanted to keep the day fun and to avoid the stuffiness of a traditional wedding.Read more...

Like many of you reading this, Denver-based photographer Ashley and her fiance Jonathan have been forced to postpone their wedding due to the CONVID-19 pandemic. When it came to telling their friends and family about their change of date, they decided to do a silly photo shoot with - what else? - bottles of Corona beer!Read more...

Getting married on October 31st, Rachael and Olly were always going to have a Halloween inspired day. In particular, they were influenced by Tim Burton and The Addams Family. Rachael chose her dress because it reminded her of something Dita Von Teese or Morticia Addams might wear, and Olly's outfit, pieced together from various places, was reminiscent of something Gomez Addams might be seen in.Read more...

Heather and Matt found wedding planning super enjoyable. They loved spending so much time together, making all the decisions as a team and going to wedding fairs! For the theme of the day they wanted to focus on the outdoors, and even for the indoor portions, they chose things that reflected their love of nature. Influenced by all the wonderful bees in the lavender surrounding the venue, their woodland theme was born.Read more...

They chose Venachar Lochside as the location for their stunning October wedding and Mazz and Alex made all their decisions for the day based on what did or did not spark joy. The bride wore a full purple/ dusky rose ensemble - from her Rosie Red Corsetry dress, painted shoes (which she did herself!) and even her freshly dyed hair. The flowers were a mix of purple and red, to compliment Alex' tartan, and they had pumpkins all over the place to reflect the season.Read more...

Ty and Aaron spent just $1000 on their wedding because they eloped! They used Simply Eloped to help them plan the day, and chose Nelson Ghost Town, which is a 45 minute drive from Las Vegas, as the location. They found the whole process easy and stress-free because they left everything to their planner and they had no guests to deal with. All they had to do was choose their outfits and show up - what a dream!Read more...

There's a hybrid wedding trend we're seeing a lot these days - not quite an elopement, but definitely not a big wedding either. Jay and Brian knew this was what they wanted for their nuptials. They didn't want to entirely run away and do it on their own, but they didn't want to host a ton of people and drop a huge amount of money on it either. So, they found a comfortable mid-way point and married at Hackney Town Hall, followed by a meal at a local restaurant with just 14 guests (and their sausage dog, Duncan!)Read more...

Inspired by (what else?!) their own style and personalities, Sue and Ian wanted their wedding to feel eccentric, colourful and full of energy. They chose a our country house venue and also included their love of birds, the bride's own pigeons and the groom's blue bird tattoo in particular! The main goal for the day was for them to just relax and catch up with all their favourite people.Read more...

Maxine and Josh wanted to include some traditional wedding elements in their day, in particular when it came to the ceremony, but they also wanted to ensure that it felt like them and reflected their own style. As the bride was on the liver transplant wait list for a long time and finally got her life-saving operation in October a few years ago, they also knew they wanted to get married around this time of year as it's such a special time for them.Read more...
