The view from Rent Patina's rooftop was incredible. The Manhattan skyline stretched before us looking just as inviting as ever. When ever I arrive in New York, no matter how exhausted I am from the flight, I get a whole new wave of excited energy as soon as I see that view - the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, the Chrysler Building... what's not to love?

Daisy and Leigh's retro wedding themed came about because they knew they wanted anything but a traditional day. "We decided to go down the retro/ vintage theme, but I also didn't want it to be the typical ‘vintage’ wedding style that is everywhere at the moment!" Daisy wrote. "I also didn't want a traditional sit-down meal so we had afternoon tea complete with cocktails served in teapots. The wedding eventually became about all of the things we love from the 1950s to the 1990s! I wanted our wedding to be really unpretentious and for everyone to have lots of fun."

Six months after their legal ceremony at Brighton Register Office, Jen and Steve had what they would consider their 'real' wedding. "We wanted a spring weekend of celebration, filled with love, laughter and true meaning", Steve explained. "Having got the 'legal' bit out of the way we could design the entire day around what we really felt important to us, which was to be surrounded by like-minded souls having a relaxed weekend house party with a festival feel, centred around a Humanist ceremony that we wrote specifically for ourselves and witnessed by friends and family."

Jessie and Joby's Nebraska wedding was held at Apothecary Lofts in Downtown Lincoln. Their wedding had a day of the dead theme which some of their older relatives thought was a little morbid but the couple thought was perfect, "but we got into this UNTIL DEATH, right?" Jessie laughed.

After lying flat in front of a fan for about 20 minutes straight, we were cooled down enough to get back on the pavement for the next set in our lookbook shoot with Rent Patina. When owner Michelle Gala, Shauna and I that they'd grabbed a bunch of disco balls called in some rainbow confetti and balloons and found some vintage silver roller skates lurking in their collection I had high expectations for what we'd see... but nothing prepared me for this. This set up is literally my dream come true, I'm sure you can see why!

Lorna and Nigel described their May wedding as "like your Nan's 1940s wedding, where family and guests all lent the couple their best china and vases and donated homemade cakes" and I think that couldn't be more perfect! The wedding was held at St Peter & St Paul's Church and Orford House Social Club and was full of fun and quirky 1940s and 50s details.

Daf and Victoria's wedding was a double celebration. After a long time trying, Victoria finally got pregnant through IVF and so she was four month's gone for the big day. They were married on 13th April, the groom's birthday! Victoria explains, "Our wedding had been on hold while we went through a tedious long IVF process but we got to Christmas and decided we were so fed up of waiting and needed something to look forward to so decided to quickly plan it for four months later. We then had success with the IVF so I got to walk up the aisle four months pregnant! It's been an amazing year all round!"

Happy Sunday you beautiful creatures! Sophie and I have been BLOWN AWAY by the response - so much so that the day we launched was Crown and Glory's biggest day for orders EVER and in the first few days alone she used over 12,000 gems making all the pieces that had been purchased. When some of my favourite wedding suppliers get together for a shoot at one of my favourite locations (we shot the Crown and Glory headpieces in the same studio!) I get very excited indeed... and even more so when they ask if I'd like to feature the results afterwards! Wedding photographer Lisa Jane explains, "Elbie posted a picture on twitter one day, asking if anyone wanted to get involved in an inspiration shoot inspired by it and I took one look and jumped at the chance to collaborate with her. Within minutes we also had the lovely Jo from The Couture Company offering to design us a dress for it and Abby From Cherished Vintage offering headpieces. It was amazing to be able to get creative without any restrictions. Everyone let their imaginations run wild."

I'm not the best housewife but I made this for dinner on Monday night and it was flipping delicious and SO EASY. It look a whole ten minutes. I actually added some chopped up sausages to it after it was cooked too, Gareth is a hardcore carnivore and a vegi dish for dinner probably wouldn't have gone down that well. Oh yeah, I'll be winning that wife of the year award in no time!

Ben and Emma wanted a wedding that was, above everything else, chilled out and relaxed. The day took place at The Star Inn in North Yorkshire, their guest list was limited and Emma bought and wore the very first dress she tried on. " What made our wedding so unique, was that we were sooo laid back about the whole thing", she explained."There were no 'bridezilla' moment and I only tried one dress on, my dress! Basically our day was about the three of us, we have a daughter, Noa who is 5. We did it our way with no bells or whistles. It was just relaxed, fun and full of love."

Charlotte and Leo, originally from Brighton but currently living in Liverpool, knew they wanted to marry in the city where they met. So they planned their wedding from afar and booked out an entire guest house right on the sea front to accommodate their guests! A Room with a View has nine guest rooms and was the perfect place for everyone to get ready. The floor to ceiling windows looking over the beach and pier made for some great photos from Lisa Devlin too!
