Spending two weeks away from my beloved computer doesn't half make me desperate to crack on with work as soon as I get back. It's totally geeky I know, but that's just me! As soon as I'd gotten through all the emails (oh so many emails!) that had build up over the past fortnight I was straight onto plowing through my RSS feed to devour all those business articles that I'd missed.Read more...

If a simple, emotional and beautiful wedding is what you're after, then let me introduce you to Pieter and Noortje. Married in the Botanical Gardens in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, their wedding had a natural, organic and bohemian vibe. Their reception was held at De Waard van Kekerdom, a bar in Kekerdom, where they had a simple meal followed by an after party!Read more...

Oh my God, I'm BACK! I know it's a terrible cliché but these past two weeks have been a whirlwind of epic proportions. From Reading to Santorini to Mykonos to London (where we taught two back-to-back workshops no less, what were we thinking?!) Gala, Shauna and I haven't had much time to rest, but we've had the time of our lives in the process.Read more...

Planning a wedding is bloody hard work and sometimes it can all get a bit too much. I'm sure you've stressed a little over flower arrangements, worried if your bridesmaids will like their dresses or navigated your way through more family issues than you even knew you had. Big weddings are wonderful occasions but I'm yet to meet a couple who haven't wondered at some point if that crazy idea to elope was really so crazy after all.Read more...

New kid on the block Dale Weeks is a force to be reckoned with. What he lacks in experience (starting his career as a music photographer, he's been shooting weddings professionally for a little under a year) he totally makes up for in incredible talent and the utmost enthusiasm!Read more...

Tina and Dave were married at The Grand Pier, Weston Super Mare. Their wedding was a colourful mix of all the things they love. "Tina and I met in the summer of 2010 on a booze cruise organised by our workplace", wrote Dave. "She arrived with her pink hair in curls wearing a 50s polka dot dress, tattoo print shoes and red lipstick. I fell in love that night."Read more...

Back in March 2012, I was asked to speak at The Photography Farm, a wedding photography workshop hosted by the amazing Lisa Devlin. At each 3-day workshop we also include an epic styled shoot for the students to practice their new-found skills. For this particular class we decided to go for a spooky modern Miss Havisham theme and the incredible Jo of The Couture Company offered to make us a bespoke dress to fit the theme.Read more...

Tony and Vicky didn't have a particular theme or idea behind their wedding, just that they wanted it to celebrate them and their love. They also didn't get to held up on the little details and kept things as simple and authentic as possible.Read more...

Roxy and Daniel's ceremony took place in Daniel's parents' neighbourhood, Bourland Field Estates, in Cresson, TX. It also just happens to be an airport neighbourhood! The streets are runways and everyone has massive garages to house their planes. The couple chose yellow as the main colour in their wedding so what could have been more perfect than a brilliant yellow plane that was lent by their neighbour for the photos!?Read more...

Ellie and Ed wanted their June wedding to not only reflect them - their likes and loves - but to be a fun day for everyone, full of DIY details. The day started with an emotional ceremony at Aldenham School, Elstree and the reception was in tipis on Buckettsland Farm, Well End. "We said the whole way through the planning process that we didn't have a theme but looking back it was essentially junk and glitter", began the bride. "If you ever saw our flat, you would know that we’re not matchy-matchy people in the slightest. I love tack and have a big collection of oddities, plus I have an obsession with the stars and the moon and anything glittery, so I always knew they would end up making an appearance."Read more...

Garrett and Joelle's June wedding was held at Epikos Church and Turner Hall Ballroom in Milwaukee. The day had a vintage and steampunk theme and was full of emotional and special moments. "Garrett wrote me a really special note and a poem that I read in the morning. I love that we got photos of that moment because it was really emotional", Joelle wrote. "One of my favorite moments though was when we prayed together before the wedding and held hands on either side of a door. That was a really amazing moment and reminded us of why we were getting married in the first place."Read more...

It's no big secret that I'm obsessed with pink hair (duh!) but it's unusual that the object of my affection is the groom and not the bride. It goes without saying that this bride looks incredible, but God damn, her groom looks awesome too! Cyn and Stan were married in Los Angeles. Their ceremony was at Club Nokia, on the stage (the first ever wedding there) and the reception was held at the incredible Sunset Marquis hotel.Read more...

I'm a little bit sad that September means it's nearly the end of Summer - waaah! I'm definitely not ready for it to be over just yet. I also fly back from my Grecian getaway today which makes staring that all these beautiful beach shots even more painful. BUT I couldn't help but share them with you. Phil and Ash's celebration was a perfect great British seaside wedding and who wouldn't want to see that!?Read more...

I am a firm believer in the mantra that we teach people how to treat us. If you're slow at replying to emails, lacklustre about saying thank you or always late paying your invoices the likelihood is that you'll attract clients that also do these things - like attracts like and all that. So how do we ensure that we only ever book the most awesome clients? The creative and cool ones who respect what we do and are a complete joy to work with?Read more...

Unlike so many Italian weddings that they'd been to before, Michelangelo and Francilla wanted a day that was big, ridiculous and most of all fun! They went for a vintage circus theme, and oh boy, they really did go all out on the theme! Francilla told me all about it, "In Italy it’s quite impossible to have a different wedding and not do everything traditionally. It’s so hard to get away from the 'rules' that everyone says you have to obey, but we worked hard to make sure we did! We would have never been happy to marry in this way, and luckily our families knew it!"Read more...

Amy and Steve got engaged while on a road trip around America and so an American themed wedding seemed like the most perfect option for them! These guys didn't go for a subtle homage though, they went all out! "Our wedding was a little slice of American pie", Amy began. "We got engaged two years ago on a road trip around the southern states of America. Steve got down on one knee over a BBQ of ribs and beer in the mountains of Virginia. It was the perfect setting and was amongst many aspects of that trip that made it one of our most memorable journeys together."Read more...
