Dave and Emma's wedding had a subtle 1950s theme with a hung dollop of their personalities injected for good measure! The bride's high street dress, birdcage veil and fur coat combo definitely harked back to a bygone era and all the colourful DIY décor made the day very 'them'.Read more...

I seem to be featuring a lot of elopements at the moment. So many Rock n Roll couples are choosing to do things completely on their own terms, which I think is fabulous! There really is no other way to explain Lucy and Benjamin's wedding. There are Alice in Wonderland weddings... and there are festival weddings... but mash them both together and imagine everyone in attendance has dropped acid and you're maybe halfway there to how bonkers this wedding was! Their wedding photographer Lee Allen described it as the maddest wedding he's ever been involved with... and you know what, I can totally see why!Read more...

Blyth and Jeff chose Blair Castle in Scotland at their wedding venue. With the groom loving all things Scotland and the bride actually being Scottish, it was the perfect place for them. "Jeff and I met online", Blyth told me. "We contacted each other at the exact same time and agreed to meet a few weeks later. On our first date we discovered we shared a birthday, as well as some real chemistry. One year later, he popped the question on a deserted beach in Antigua, complete with sunset and horses swimming in the ocean. We decided on a castle venue and searched high and low to find the right one. When I viewed St Brides Kirk, the roofless ruined chapel on the grounds of Blair Castle, I fell for it immediately and knew we had to be married there."Read more...

Ross and Gem were married at the Medieval Banquet Hall at the Park Hall Hotel, which set the theme for the day. "Our inspiration came from our love of ‘old’ England", began the bride. "We adore its majesty and history. We weren't particularly taken by the ‘average’ wedding with pastel colours, white linen, paper straws and sugared almonds, ans we wanted something people would remember. I also wanted to do loads of DIY in the run up. We spent a lot of time making sure that everyone would be entertained throughout. Not many weddings have fire eaters and King Arthur as the toastmaster!Read more...

Happy Sunday one and all. I got back from my Vegas trip yesterday afternoon and I'm up early and raring to get back to work. I don't know about you, but as much as I love to travel, I almost love to come home even more. Getting back into your routine after a week of excess is quite the simple pleasure! I'll be writing a much more detailed post all about my trip stateside soon (I have some epic Vegas recommendations for those of you that might be getting married or honeymooning there) but for now I wanted to close the week with yet another beautiful wedding.Read more...

Lindsay and Steve originally planned to elope in Las Vegas, but when the bride fell pregnant those plans had to change! "We had booked our wedding ceremony and flights to Vegas to get married in October 2014, followed by a UK Day of the Dead themed reception a week later", Lindsay began. "A week after we did this, I found out I was pregnant! Cue cancelling of the Vegas plans and, shotgun wedding in London, and the nicknaming of bump as B.V (Baby Vegas)! We brought our plans forwards to August and, fortunately, all of our other suppliers were super accommodating and we were able to move all our UK plans forward without a hitch."Read more...
