Matt and Jo turned their July wedding into a full day-long festival, that they just happened to also get married at! “We basically wanted to put on a festival for all our friends and family to enjoy,” said Jo, “and to make it as easy as possible for people to attend and have a nice time. We especially wanted to tap into the idea that with festivals, there are always multiple things going on at once; we weren’t very keen on having all eyes on us all day so we wanted there to be lots to do to counteract the overwhelm!”Read more...

Ya know, we may not be able to be together in the same physical location right now, but that doesn't mean the wedding industry stops. I'm getting so excited when I see vendors using this unprecedented down time to get creative so hats off and standing ovations to Lisa and Neil of Him and Her Wedding Photography for this out-of-the-box thinking!Read more...

With the surname of ‘Gather’, Luke and Louise couldn’t not be inspired by this for their September wedding, and so ‘The Gathering’ was born - a bringing together of all the people who mean the most to them. The venue was a no-brainer. Luke grew up around the corner from Elvaston Castle in Derby, and went for regular walks around the grounds. The couple live together nearby and walk their dogs there regularly, so it holds a special place for them.Read more...

A few years ago, Ben saw something on social media about a couple who had invited their friends to a 30th Birthday party and then ended up surprising them all with the fact they were getting married. He told his (then) girlfriend, Alice, that he thought it was a brilliant idea and that he’d love to do something similar if they ever got married as he hates all the ‘fuss’ that a wedding tends to bring.Read more...

Arlene and Lee love the fifties aesthetic, rockabilly and hot rods. So, when it came to setting a theme for their summer wedding, there was no question what it would be! They chose Tomlinson's Farm Shop and Camping field for both the ceremony and and reception. Although they were the first wedding that had ever been held there, they knew it was perfect for their vision as soon as they visited. They loved the views and the owners were so accommodating - they even supplied the haybales.Read more...

With a budget of just £4000, Kirsty and Ben knew their wedding plans had to be different to the majority of the weddings that Ben, a musician in a function band, sees day in day out. They wanted to have their day in a beautiful setting, but kept their guest list small to limit the expense. The wedding was held on a Thursday and they had just 13 guests at the reception, and had everyone sat around one big table for the meal, just like they were hosting a family meal at home.Read more...

Getting married on October 31st, Rachael and Olly were always going to have a Halloween inspired day. In particular, they were influenced by Tim Burton and The Addams Family. Rachael chose her dress because it reminded her of something Dita Von Teese or Morticia Addams might wear, and Olly's outfit, pieced together from various places, was reminiscent of something Gomez Addams might be seen in.Read more...

Heather and Matt found wedding planning super enjoyable. They loved spending so much time together, making all the decisions as a team and going to wedding fairs! For the theme of the day they wanted to focus on the outdoors, and even for the indoor portions, they chose things that reflected their love of nature. Influenced by all the wonderful bees in the lavender surrounding the venue, their woodland theme was born.Read more...

Inspired by (what else?!) their own style and personalities, Sue and Ian wanted their wedding to feel eccentric, colourful and full of energy. They chose a our country house venue and also included their love of birds, the bride's own pigeons and the groom's blue bird tattoo in particular! The main goal for the day was for them to just relax and catch up with all their favourite people.Read more...

Maxine and Josh wanted to include some traditional wedding elements in their day, in particular when it came to the ceremony, but they also wanted to ensure that it felt like them and reflected their own style. As the bride was on the liver transplant wait list for a long time and finally got her life-saving operation in October a few years ago, they also knew they wanted to get married around this time of year as it's such a special time for them.Read more...

James and Lillian first met as members of a body modification website. After three years of chatting on MSN messenger (how all the best relationships are formed, of course) they finally met in person and became a couple after attending the wedding of a mutual friend. Many years and two children later, they decided to get hitched themselves, wanting a very laid back, chilled vibe for their day that didn’t cost the earth.Read more...

Faye and Jay wanted their day to be fun and colourful with good food, friends and music. There's only one thing more magical than a wedding I think... and that's a wedding with a unicorn! Louise and Gaz were inspired by the fun times they had going to Reading festival together in their 20s when it came to planning their summer wedding. They met just over four years ago at a metal tribute night in a Camden pub, so clearly, Alina and Alex were going to have a suitably Rock n Roll wedding!
