Funfairs may have been 'done' in terms of what the cool kids say is 'in' but who gives a monkey's about what they think? It's the same with balloons, candy floss and even sun flair...pah I say to that! The funfair is the perfect backdrop for an engagement shoot - fun, colourful, playful and prop city! Please forgive me procrastination as I bring to you this random but overtly lovely post all about my favourite prop - the humble balloon! I should be doing some proper writing right now (deadline booo!) but I got all distracted by all this rubbered and brightly coloured goodness whilst on my internet travels today I guess apart from all the prettiness I wanted to show how much variety there is in this darling little prop. I hope I have inspired you for your next balloon based photo shoot. Balloons been done? Pah! There's way more life in these little treasures yet... This midnight picnic shoot makes me smile inside. The shoot took place on the couple's 3 year anniversary and as photographer Holly explains, it's "a visual display of the idealistic, unrealistic, visionary, dreamy, Utopian, whimsical, starry-eyed love." I like that! The dress came from Koren Town in LA, her wonderful fut coat was from Forever 21 and her headpieces were by Audrey K and Vintage Dreams. Thanks to Holly for sharing these

This British groom and his Texan bride may have met at a Chicago Cubs game but flew back to Texas to get married. Both parties brought some of themselves into their day - most notablyin the cakes! Matt must certainly be a football (soccer) fan. I loving Holly's David's Bridal dress, the Rock n Roll graffiti portraits ('til death do us part' how perfect is that!?) and the masquerade ball-esque masks. Part two of today's love for The Philippines comes in the form of these stunning images sent by Jeffroger Kho. Arthur & Sheilan are one seriously cool couple and I am nuts about that purple dress! Jeffroger described this session as 'an engagement session on steriods' and I certainly have to agree. It's not everyday a photographer shoots a couple in a spooky, abandoned house that looks like it belongs on an Asian horror movie set or on a windswept beach standing in a box and wrapped in clingfilm! These shots seriously wouldn't look out of place in Vogue and I am smitten. Thanks to Jeffroger for thinking of me and knowing how much I'd love these when he sent them over!

When Mariela and Mat, who met in 2018 at a tattoo convention, decided to tie the knot, they knew that while they didn't have a particular theme or vison in mind, they wanted something that incorporated their love for the desert, retro decor and tattoos. They really tried to make it their own; the first dance, for example, was done behind a curtain with a spotlight so their 75 guests could only see their silhouettes. They also had a tarot card reader as an option for guests who didn't want to dance in the evening.
