Noelia and Jose’s met while Noelia was completing her degree in Elda, Spain. Their first date felt like they’d known each other forever, and despite the challenge of a year-and-a-half long-distance relationship, they were clear about one thing – they wanted to be together. Eventually, Jose moved to Logroño, where they began planning their wedding and their life together.

When it came time to the wedding, they wanted a day which included their families, lots of love, and even more colour. It was also important that it felt like ‘them’, which meant incorporating things like Jose’s bike. “One of our mottos was ‘ella es puro azúcar y el pura sal‘ (she is pure sugar, and he is pure salt),” Noelia shared. “What made the wedding unique was that we were both ourselves, we love each other with our differences and those differences were what gave us moments with a lot of personality.”

Their ceremony was officiated by the vice president of Jose’s biker group and they chose to say their vows at an altar made from Jose’s motorcycle. Their canine companions, Mia and Elda, were also present, never far from the action.

In terms of décor and styling, a colourful day was the only option for Noelia, They included lots of pink and had quirky details like the homemade welcome shot stand (instead of welcome champagne!) and the ‘altar of the dead’ table.

Reflecting on the day, Noelia said, “We wouldn’t change a thing. It was perfect for us, just as we imagined. The best part of the process is when you see that everything you imagine in your head is coming to life and when the day comes you see it all there and you say ‘wow, we did that!'”
