Sarah and Sibley's wedding was held at The Barn at South Milton. They planned a day to celebrate them, the joining of their families and do have a damn good time! Spending just £7000, they saved money by wearing high street clobber (Sarah's incredible sequinned dress from JS Collections at House of Fraser and Sibley's snappy suit from Moss Bros) having a DIY cake, picking wild flowers and making all their own paper goods and decorations.

How To Sell Your Own Products On Your Blog

Kat

August 26, 2014

One of the things I learnt pretty early on when I started to monetise this blog, was that having multiple income streams was a good idea. While I continue to earn the bulk of my income from banner advertising and sponsored content, only relying on this every month wouldn't be that smart. I mean, what if all my advertisers suddenly decided to go elsewhere? Around mid-2012 I started to brainstorm other ways I could make an income from this site. One of those was selling products. I dabbled with a number of things but the most significant for me have been The Blogcademy, my print magazine and my headpiece collection with Crown and Glory.

Assassynation

August 25, 2014

Nic and Dan were married on Friday 13th July at 13.00 at St John the Evangelist Church in Brigg. Skulls were a recurring theme throughout the day, and were also on her custom Converse, their cake, and the DIY bunting that decorated the venue.

The bride wore a Vera Wang gown from her diffusion line at David's Bridal, but she had to compete with that groom of hers who rocked up dressed as his favourite Power Ranger! Who says brides get to have all the fun?

The Oscars Meets a Midsummer Night’s Dream: Sam & Hattie

Green Antlers

August 19, 2014

Sam and Hattie were married at the bride's parents home, in a tipi set up in their extensive garden. But this wasn't the usual laid back backyard affair. The wedding was strictly black tie and super duper glamorous. Their guests were invited to wear their most decadent outfits, the bride wore a stunning handmade black couture gown, and her bridesmaid's were in incredibly sparkly custom made dresses.

Are Brides Who Wear Glasses Any Less Beautiful?

Kat

August 18, 2014

Watch any teen movie from the past ten years and you'll recognise this cliché. In order to get the guy, the heroine, who starts off an ugly duckling, first needs to be transformed into a beautiful swan. Whatever the premise of the film might be, the classic movie makeover formula is tried, tested and invariable. Her hair is tamed, 'sexy' clothes are donned, make up applied, glasses removed... How exactly she's going to see the man of her dreams without that vital accessory never seems to be a concern.
