Sarah and Adam's wedding was a true reflection of them. They love anime and Star Wars, so that was their starting point! The day was held at Priston Mill, Bath, in December. Although a worry for a lot of brides and grooms, rain on your wedding day isn't the worst thing that can happen. Although you might be a bit damp (and hey, if you're in the UK you're probably quite used to being in a permanent state of saturation) I promise you your wedding will still be wonderful - even if the whole thing is outdoors! This is definitely a wedding I wish I was at. Louisa and Richie sure do know how to throw one hell of a party! The styling for the celebration was really centred around their venue - the basement of Shoreditch Town Hall called The Ditch. An unusual choice maybe (and one with no natural light!) but it fit perfectly with what the couple wanted. Louisa's dress was designed by Catherine Deane. There's nothing that evokes childlike wonder quite like mermaids. I don't think there's any girl who watched The Little Mermaid as a kid and afterwards didn't wanted to be one... Cat and Paul did things to suit them - completely. Not being a girly, girl or ever wearing dresses, two weeks before the wedding the bride decided to go with what made her feel comfortable. Ange and Glen's wedding day started with an intimate ceremony with just 25 guests at Cardiff City Hall. They then moved on to The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff for a Wales vs Argentina rugby match! Charlotte and Sean's colourful retro wedding was held at The Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis, with their ceremony at Forde Abbey in Chard. Cathie and Claire were hitched at Glenmore House. Their wedding was bright and full of fun! The pair both rocked amazing outfits, Claire in a red Candy Anthony dress and headpiece and Cathie in a corset from Fairy Gothmother and trousers by Vivienne Westwood. At their reception they had a popcorn cart, bunting, vintage suitcase for cards and vintage vases and jam jars for the flowers with tea lights.Read more...

Helen and Toby's rainbow wedding took place at Coombes Farm in Lancing. The didn't have a huge budget, £8000, but they made it go far with plenty of personal touches and DIY projects. The cakes, flowers and stationery were all done by friends and they didn't hire a fancy caterer to feed their guests. Sara and Dave were married in November. They had been together for 14 years and have 5 children so having a wedding had never really taken priority, but after visiting the amazing Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza Wedding Show in Birmingham, that all changed! "We met when I visited the local tattoo studio where Dave worked", began the bride. "We got chatting and basically things progressed pretty quickly. With the bride wearing vintage, the reception at Rich's grandmother's home, and music playing a huge part, this July wedding has all the makings of the perfect Rock n Roll celebration. The day was also a real DIY effort, with everyone pitching in to make it perfect. A friend of the bride made her flower crown, all the flowers for the day were grown by friends and family and the stationery was made by the bride's brother. The cakes were brought by the guests. I've seen a lot of festival inspired weddings in my time, but I think it's safe to say that none of them have been as so naturally cool as this one! Not only do Charlie and Kane both ooze awesome, but their dinner set up has to be one of the most beautiful ever. At their reception site, a field behind the bride's parent's house, they had a Bedouin tent and one huge, long table for their 150 guests to eat at. Thank goodness it didn't rain!Read more...

Steven and Beth were married at Penarth Fawr Medieval Hall in June. Their reception was held in a marquee in the grounds of Gorwel Cottage, a holiday rental with sea views over Cardigan Bay and Pwllheli harbour. They didn't have a huge budget and so they homemade as much as they could including the flowers and stationery. They also had an afternoon tea and evening BBQ as their food which was a lot cheaper than many of the other options that they looked at.Read more...
