Aurora and Thompson were married in Gainesville, Florida. Their day had a unique theme, Kermit and Miss Piggy leading the ceremony, and a guest list that stayed deliberately small. 35 guests attended and everyone stayed at the same bed and breakfast, owned by the bride’s aunt and uncle. Aurora described their theme as medieval tropical to anyone who asked, and guests dressed to match. Her gown was made by her mum and she bedazzled her own boots. All of the décor and flowers were DIY.

While plenty of engaged couples fantasise about running away and eloping, Rebecca and Craig did exactly that. Their simple ceremony was held at Orange County Courthouse in Orlando, and afterwards they went to Five Guys for burgers and milkshakes! In total, they spent £2,000, with their biggest cost being the photographer.

When it came to shooting Rachael (from Maui) and Tim's (from Florida) engagement shoot, where else could be as perfect as on the beach? "These guys are all about the beach and rock the surf style," said photographer Wendy Laurel. "I mean who else wears their bikini on their engagement shoot? The shoot was at one of their favorite beaches on Maui, Ironwoods, and in the Honolua Valley (next to the famed Honolua Bay). Both places are on the upper west side of Maui where lots of good surf and a large surf community can be found."

This awesome punk inspired wedding was actually a faux-wedding - a photo shoot set up by stylist & blogger Lauren of Every Last Detail and photographer's Jeff & Anna Katherine of K&K Photography. They wanted to showcase some awesome alternative wedding styling and they certainly achieved that. I am totally smitten and almost a little upset that it isn't a real wedding - this looks like the kind of party I want to go to!

Steve & Kelly’s Butterfly & Tattoo Themed Florida Wedding

Steve & Kelly's November wedding took place in Florida at Omni Orlando Resort. The theme for the day was butterflies, in memorial of Kelly's Papa who had passed away 5 years earlier. As well as wearing the bride wearing a butterfly bracelet and flowers in her hair, the couple released butterflies in his memory. At the reception the couple filled the room with details that meant a lot to them - fish in the centrepieces for good luck and tattoo details becuase they are both heavilty tattooed. Each table was also given a name that meant a lot to the couple.

Amanda & Marcel's Florida engagement session was a gift from their friend Mireya at Axiom Photo Studio. "From the moment Marcel and I got engaged, Mireya called us up and said...'I have a vision' " Amanda told me. "She told us where and when to meet and she would take care of the rest. I decided to hit up a few Goodwill stores the night before and ended up getting my entire wardrobe for under $20. She knew she wanted to capture "us" and "Miami" and she really did. She took us to some kick-ass graffiti walls in Wynwood and then we traveled back to Little Havana for some cafecito. The whole shoot took about four hours and we all had a blast (including our 2 chihuahuas)."

Classy, elegant, retro. These are the words that came to me as soon as I saw Rebecca & Justin's 1950s inspired engagement session. The shoot took place at The Ritz Ybor in downtown Tampa, a venue which perfectly reflected photographer Alicia's vision for the session. Rebecca's polka dot dress was from PinUp Girl Clothing and Justin looked the part in his trilby hat (which retails at $75 but he picked up for $6!) and waistcoat combo. This make me happy. The photos are of course stunning, with their neo-realism kinda feel - the stark white backdrop and her pale skin vs the dark gothic lipstick is just beautiful. Oh..just wow. As soon as I laid eyes on Cameron & Mike I knew I had to feature them on Rock n Roll Bride. Can you blame me? Cameron looked just like a movie star and Mike looks so in love it can't help but make me smile! Mike, a tattoo artist in Florida even proposed to Cameron by tattooing 'Will You Marry Me?' on his chest? Freakin' awesome or what?! That's some serious commitment - he must have been pretty sure she would say yes
