As we kick of 2020, I'm not sure I can think of a more perfect feature than this roaring 1920s themed vow renewal! And OMG is she a beauty! We feature quite a few vow renewals, but not often those of LGBTQ couples, so I was super excited to hear all about Kaitlin and Stephanie's love story. The day began life as a styled shoot, but they decided to renew their vows for real. They were married in Paris originally so wanted nods to this throughout too.

Vasilia and Joe's wedding had an old timely feel. It was held in a friend's back garden and all their guests dressed in their 1920s inspired finest! "Before we started planning, we sat down for an hour or so and each quietly broke out our thoughts for every aspect of our vision", said the bride. "We quickly realised that we had very similar, if not the same thoughts on almost everything. I can’t say that anything in particular inspired us other than our desire to make a unique experience for our guests that showcased our personality and taste, without the regular formality and stuffiness of a wedding."

Paul and Shannon's Friday 13th wedding took place in November and had a super glam yet quirky theme. "The wedding was a reflection of everything that we are," said the bride. "Paul loves the prohibition era glitz and glam, I have an affinity for Vaudeville theatre and the vintage circus. We really have such a penchant for drama and over-the-top nonsense, it’s what makes us work so well together! So we infused the place with antique gold, gem-toned carnival glass, and absinthe cocktails. We even had a silent film reel projected onto the walls!"

A Roaring Twenties ‘Peaky Blinders’ Wedding

Helen and Rich are hooked on the TV series, Peaky Blinders, so when they came to plan their Manchester wedding, they based it on their favourite show. "It was only natural that we decided to join the Brummy gang for our wedding day", Helen explained. "Also, Rich's father grew up not that far from the real Peaky Blinders gang, he has Irish heritage, and I have always been obsessed by the 1920s. It just made sense."
