I have featured the work of Marina from Red Heart Photography a number of times recently, every time she sends me something I am stopped in my tracks! Christina & Justin had a personal ceremony in Kona (it was just the two of them - you can't get more intimate that that!) and then followed it up with an amazing photo session with the lovely Marina. She wore amazing red shoes. He wore kick ass snakeskin boots. I looked at these and melted. Marina I heart you..thanks for the sharing! Credit: Red Heart PhotographyRead more...

The only trouble is that looking at all these inked lovelies makes me want to get my new tat as soon as possible! Thanks to the gorgeous Elizabeth for sending these over. Seriously, guys be sure to go check out her specialist boudoir site - it's full to bursting with tattooed sexiness! Credit: ENV Photography/La Coquette PhotographyRead more...

Oh..just wow. As soon as I laid eyes on Cameron & Mike I knew I had to feature them on Rock n Roll Bride. Can you blame me? Cameron looked just like a movie star and Mike looks so in love it can't help but make me smile! Mike, a tattoo artist in Florida even proposed to Cameron by tattooing 'Will You Marry Me?' on his chest? Freakin' awesome or what?! That's some serious commitment - he must have been pretty sure she would say yesRead more...

I spend a lot of time online (like seriously hours a day) and so of course I come across many a fabulous wedding and non-wedding thing that I don't want to dedicate a full spot to. So, inspired by one of my favourite bloggers, I have decided on a new little feature. Every Thursday I will introduce you to a few extra treats out there on the world wide web. I hope you enjoy it. Let's begin...Read more...

I am on a blogging roll this morning hey? Can't stop now though, I've got Keith & Rachel's amazing engagements to show you. The couple (who I swear to God should be models) will actually be getting married at the exact location of this shoot. Keith is a tattoo artist and did the awesome sleeve on Rachel's arm. I was shocked to hear that Corin's photography had never been blogged before - it is stunning! I am super excited to be the first wedding blog to share her work with the world. I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of her.Read more...

Evan & Angela's wedding was at the Inn at Laurel Point in Victoria, BC. They had an intimate event with just 20 or 30 guests within their own bridal penthouse suite with an antique/bird theme. They set up a typewriter to be used a vintage style guest book, birdcages around the room and old-time candy for goodie-bag favours. They are both photographers as well so there were antique cameras scattered about as well as lots of shots taken with Evan's old Polaroid Land Camera. Angela's veil was handmade by an artist in Portland, OR and her dress was designed by local Seattle designer Chrissy Wai-Ching. It's a pretty damn amazing dress huh?Read more...

Krista & Uryah had a 1920s style wedding in Snohomish, WA. As a professional seamstress, Krista planned and DIY'd the majority of wedding herself. I have a whole lot of love for this set - her shoes, her back lace umbrella, the cigarette holders - classy and wonderful! Thanks to Claire for sending me these. Mwah! So I did some hunting around to find out the true story of the fabulous 'Woodstock Wedding' that I blogged a few days ago. Turns out it was a 'fake' wedding and was set up as an editorial photoshoot for French magazine Jalouse...and the Bride & Groom - wait for it - were actually Mark Ronson and his girlfriend Josephine de la Baume! Don't be too sad though as I have found more photos and a super kitch, uber retro feeling behind the scenes video!Read more...

This is yet another shoot I have been dying to share for ages. Rock n Roll Bride fave, Trigger Happy Tara showed me a sneak peak of these a few weeks ago and me being as impatient as ever I have literally been chomping at the bit to get these up for you all! This shoot was actually part of a mass shoot-out, an event where a bunch of local photographers (in this case Jacksonville) get together to shoot some models and exchange tips and tricks. I love this model and Tara's interpretation of the scene so much because she has given what could have been such a traditional shoot a completely offbeat and rock n roll twist! The Model's dress was Alvina Valenta (style #9700) and her veil was by Lori London (style #VM95). Kudos to Tara. Love these! Credit: Trigger Happy TaraRead more...

Erika & Chris tied the knot at Salt Lake's legendary Ruth's Diner which is now owned by Erika's parents. The diner had never hosted a wedding before but suited the couple's laid back, rock n roll style down to the ground. Dispite living in relatively conservative Utah, it would seem that nearly every tattooed kid in the State was in attendance - from tattoo artists to punk rockers! Thanks to the hugely talented Ryan for sharing this day with us.Read more...

Suzy & Gerard actually got married in 2005 but still wanted a day (years!?) after shoot with the amazingly talented Megan Welker- well who wouldn't! They almost had a disaster with the dress however as after Suzy got it back from the cleaners she discovered they had taken out all of the puckers making those stunning billowy pleats,OMG cricis!! Luckilythey knew a fabulous seamstress who painstakingly put them all back in for the shoot. It almost never happened and that would have been a travesty! Thanks to Megan for allowing me to share. I apologise for my slight absence yesterday, I had a super busy day planning new ventures (eeek exciting!). I hope all my American readers had a fabulous Labor Day weekend but it has been rather lonely in Blog-land this past few days and I am glad you are all back! Let's get this show on the road shall we - as always, way too much gorgeousness to share today! Amber & Kwame has a stunningly simple and personal backyard wedding in Sidney just outside of Victoria BC. Their day was not about the bouquet and rings, but a calebration of their love and a big old reunion for all their friends and family. Thanks to Helene for these beautiful images - so much happiness! Aww pretty pretty sparkle dress! Faith sure looks rock n roll glam on her wedding day back in April! It's not only the dress that I love - her faux tats are super cute and the peacock feathers instead of a traditional floral bouquet are of course stunning. Her one of a kind, custom dress was designed and made by Marelize from Gingered in South Africa. The gown was based on Jenny Packham's Papillon dress, but being in South Africa getting hold of the origianl proved too difficult so Faith decided to get her own version made. Marelize even spent over 45 hours hand sewing on all the beads on the bodice - wow...Glam rock on! Thanks to Faith for not only sending me her images but for sharing all this fab info - a true Rock n Roll Bride!Read more...

Erica & Simon had a Hawaii wedding fit to bursting with gorgeousness. Erica's stunning dress was flown all the way from England (woohoo) for the event and was custom made for her by her sister-in-law. The couple had a tiki bar, a vintage Vespa and uber cute cupcakes, all with added to their Hawaii kitsch theme! Huuuuge thanks to Marina for sharing these with me. I adore them! As one of the most glamorous women in history isn't Marilyn Monroe a clear choice to emulate on your wedding day? As long as you put yourself into the style too of course! That is exactly what this Bride did. The red lips and the iconic dress marry perfectly with her own personal style. What's not to love I ask?! Thanks to Anna for all the sharing! Funfair? Check... Balloons? Check...Adorable couple? Check...That gorgeous streaming Californian light? Check! It seems I will never tire of this scenario for an engagement shoot - it really shows the a fun side to any couple that just can't help but make me smile - especially that 'slide' shot - how much fun does that look?! Ooooooooooooooh! Do I get to feature the best stuff or what?! Victoria & David had a beautiful and fun engagement shoot on a shopping mall rooftop. They wanted an urban feeling shoot and photographers Fiona & Bec chose the rooftop car park for the location. Thanks to Fiona & Bec for fuelling my balloon obsession with these!
