When photographer's Kel & Mar turned up at Richard & Josephine's hotel room they were brimming over with ideas and excitement for their engagement shoot. However, after seeing the chaos of the room all the ideas were scrapped in favour of a much more 'real' photo shoot location. Anyone that knows me will know that I'm terrible at keeping secrets...so this has been very very hard for me to keep schtum! Last week I got an email from Richard of FX Films (based in Oxford) asking if he could pop round and make a little film about little me. Of course I jumped at the chance. I am a big show off after all! Stand by and prepare yourself for some serious awesome. Richard is an actual genius - he made me look so good and the music choice is utterly perfect! The only thing I stipulated was that Henry & Rachel my Maine Coon kitties were in it (and they stole the show didn't they!) Oh the cute... So here's me on a 'normal day' - getting up, kittens, make up, blogging, shoes, car (I love my car!) and hanging out in the park. So. Much. Fun. Jennifer & Ian's vintage garden engagement shoot is just so British - I love it! The slightly damp weather, the funky patterned wellies, the wheelbarrow and the greenhouse... I'm very much looking forward to seeing this couple's vintage themed Scottish wedding in May and I hope photographer Fjona will be sending the images straight over to me afterwards - think VW van, Scottish tablet in jam jars, old fashioned luggage labels and more wellies. After seeing Emma & James' funky engagement session I couldn't wait to see the wedding and I certainly wasn't disappointed. Emma dress was a 1930's inspired design that was handmade for her in champagne crepe backed satin by 'Rags to Bitches' which is a vintage boutique on Tib Street in the Northern Quarter of Manchester. She teamed this will gorgeous peach, sequinned shoes from Karen Millen and a gorgeous vintage style headband which was made from glass beads and pearls from a bridal shop in Poynton, Cheshire called Timeless Bride.Read more...

Hands up if you love Amelia Lyon! Chances are that if you're not waving your arms madly in the air right now it's because you haven't heard of the lady... shame on you, oh boy is that about to change. The Blog Land favourite and all round fabulous Amelia ran another round of her her famous 'Lyon Shop' photography workshops on March 6th in Vegas any results turned out a treat. I was lucky enough to secure these exclusive pictures to share with you today. When I received the initial email from Roland of S8 Films I was blown away. Not only did I instantly adore their work but I was delighted to discover they are London based (in fact right around the corner from my soon-to-be-part-time 'day' job!) The Super 8 format has been growing in popularity over the last few years. From it's grainy texture to it's raw, 'real' appeal, it's easy to see why brides all over the world have fallen in love with it. I am really starting to fall head over heels in love with Matt Johnson Photography...and I'm not afraid to admit it! His images are subtle, unobtrusive and captures beautiful weddings with all the justice they deserve. Elodie & Greg's wedding was one I fell in love with as soon as I saw the first frame. Her amazing vintage-inspired outfit, jewellery and so-now white lace gloves make me smile with glee and his rad groom style puts every other groom to shame! The no-jacket/waistcoat look is totally Rock n Roll and looks way-too-cool when matched with his boys in braces. The details of this wedding are to die for - from the birdcages, the white heart motif, the retro 'admissions' sign, the outdoor chandelier. Awesome.Read more...

One of the greatest things about my job as a blogging maestro is all the wonderful people I get to meet...and it's even better when we get to meet in real life! The delightful Emma Case is down in London for a few weeks and so emailed me and suggested we meet up go out for Sushi. Now, those that know me will be well aware that I'm not one to say no to Sushi!
