Hi Kat A quick query: how much do you charge for product reviews? I am a virtual vet. I also have a blog, posting every day. This is becoming a larger part of my workload, but I do it for free, which is a challenge. Part of my mix is a weekly product review, which I have done for free up till now. A PR company told me that one of the reasons that they use me is that I am free whereas people like you charge a fee. So hence my question: how much do you charge?Read more...

Tim and Ange were married in Brisbane. One of the most notable things about this wedding was that they completely changed their plans, mid-way through. They went from organising a big 100+ guest wedding at a fancy venue, to a small and intimate one in an alley in the heart of the city with just 20 guests... oh and organising it all in 12 weeks!Read more...

If someone were to ask me to list all of my favourite things, nearly everything in this wedding would feature: cats, tattoos, Disney, ears, pink, 80s tunes, glitter... I mean goodness, what's not to love?! The wedding was held at Union/Pine in Portland, in December.Read more...

I promised myself that 2014 would be the year that I finally started taking better care of my body. I don't know if it's hitting 30 that's done it, or the fact that I'm going to be on the road so much, but I desperately feel the need to give myself some TLC as often as possible. I'm eating better, I'm trying (but failing) to drink less, and I'm investing in some really great beauty products and treats. But taking good care of yourself doesn't have to be an expensive exercise.Read more...

For the photo shoot at the latest Photography Farm workshop, photographer Lisa Devlin knew she needed to do something big. After all, at the last Farm Gareth and I got married again! After seeing Megan and Grant's gorgeous wedding on Rock n Roll Bride, and reading how much Megan loves Disney (and just so happens to resemble a certain crimson haired mermaid) the ideas started bubbling away. She wanted to put a different twist on the mermaid idea though and eventually came across the story of Rusalka, from which The Little Mermaid movie was based. Luckily Megan and Grant also loved the idea and we're thrilled to model for her!Read more...

29th March 2014 was a good day in England, because same sex marriage finally became completely legal! While gay couples have been able to become civil partners for a few years now, it's crazy to think that until two months ago they didn't have the exact same rights as heterosexual couples.Read more...

Travis and Erin challenged themselves to spend no more than $5000 on their wedding - and they did it! One of the key things about this wedding was that they kept it a secret from their guests. That's right, they had no idea they were going to a wedding that day... they all thought they were just there for an engagement party! The day was held at The Briars Homestead Garden, Mount Martha, Australia.Read more...

You know me, I'm no wallflower, so when Claire's asked me if I'd like to play dress up using some of their brightest of the bright brand new hair adornments, I really couldn't say no. When that trademark lilac packaging landed on my doorstep and I tore into it, I was greeted with so many pretty florals and bright colours that it instantly lifted my hump day mood. I immediately started thinking of ways I could dress them up, bridesmaid's style!Read more...

If there's one thing I love more than anything else it's cats. I am a bona fide and unashamed crazy cat lady. I'm the one who'll say hello to the feline in the room before the person I'm actually there to see... So you can imagine my elation when Anita and Paul's cat/ music themed wedding landed in my inbox! These guys went all out, even so far as the bride and her bridesmaid's carrying stuffed cat toys instead of bouquets! And yes, the bride did throw her 'bouquet' at the end of the night. Oh my fluffy goodness...Read more...

Like most small business owners, I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook. We all might moan about whatever new development they implement next, but it is still, by far, the social media channel that brings the most traffic to my blog, and the one where the most reader engagement happens. Although the reach of your page may be decreasing due to whatever it is Facebook is up to at the moment, it is still a vital tool for any small business owner.Read more...

Being a wedding photographer herself, there was one big thing at the top of Kerry's wedding must-have list - a great photographer of course! They picked Sally T for the job and they all flew out from the UK together. They ceremony was held at the Chapel of the Flowers and was officiated by - who else - Elvis! They didn't have a formal reception but just partied out and around Freemont Street.Read more...

This shoot was set up by photographer Julie of Jewel Photography who was inspired after watching Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events! "As a photographer I look at everything with an open mind and at everything for inspiration", wrote Julie. "Years ago I was watching Lemony Snicket and I fell in love with the costuming, design and photography in the movie. I cataloged in my brain for use down the road. Well the moment finally came, I knew I wanted to to do a steampunk styled photo shoot!"Read more...
