Laura and Bruno met in their home-town of Los Angeles, but Laura always knew she’d head back to her birth country of Spain to get married. “We were well aware that planning a wedding is a difficult task, even more so when you’re thousands of miles away!” she explained. “So the first decision we made was to hire a planner. We were so worried about the organisation, we decided to dedicate a portion of our €28,000 budget to hiring a professional to take care of all the worrying for us.” They hired Lorena of Eventos Clandestine to help them pull their destination wedding off without a hitch.
They started with considering what type of day they’d like – a party where they were surrounded by family and friends, and something that would give off their energy and love of colour. Because of the distance, it was impossible for Laura and Bruno to even attempt any DIY projects for their day, so Lorena had full reign with decor.
“The decorations Lorena commissioned were incredible,” said Laura. “There were hundreds of colourful acrylic sheets hung from the ceiling – the pools of colourful light coming through the large warehouse windows created such a magical atmosphere. Coupled with the colourful and unusual flowers, the stationery and all the different details somehow managed to all come together and represent us perfectly.”
Laura and Bruno decided to include a first-look, which Laura says was the favourite part of her day – if she had to choose just one! “I cannot choose just one moment, but the moment I was Bruno for the first time was the one I will remember my whole life.”
After their first-look, Laura’s father walked her down the aisle, where they had a lightly comic ceremony officiated by a local actress. “Lorena created us such a personal, funny ceremony, and included some friend and family members in it too. We could not stop smiling the whole time. It was absolutely perfect.”

It makes things easier for you and makes the most of the budget and designing a unique experience as well as having everything under control. Thanks to them being them in charge, we could peacefully enjoy organising everything.”
