Lottie and Scott's February wedding was all about the homemade touches. In fact almost everything was DIY including the bride's dress (made by her mum from a 50s pattern), the rainbow cake and the bouquets which were made up of faux flowers bought from Dunelm. Living and working in London but both originally from up north, Fiona and Jack, who met when they both auditioned for the same band at uni (the band is still going and they have been making and releasing music together for their entire relationship!) planned a retro inspired wedding in Whitby. It's a place they have spent a lot of time in with family over the years so it was a very sentimental place for them to tie the knot. The autumn day started with a ceremony at Whitby registry office before a walk down to the seafront to play on to 2p arcade games and have their photos taken. Ali and Edd had a Zoom ceremony in early June, and although the ceremony wasn't legally binding they will forever celebrate it as what they see as their wedding anniversary. They plan to have the big wedding and do the legal bit next year.Read more...

Although they knew each other for a couple of years prior, Sami and Myles' relationship progressed quickly when they finally became an item. They got engaged after four months, Sami was pregnant at eight, and they were married in under a year. The bulk of the actual planning was done within just five weeks too! Trinity Buoy Wharf has one of the best views in London which suited Rebecca and Dave's red, white and blue themed wedding to a tee. The couple didn't want the day to be too 'matchy-matchy', but they did was cohesive elements to run throughout. t's no secret that we LOVE a colourful wedding here at Rock n Roll Bride, so Jess and Rob's day, which took place in July 2019, was right up our street! They were married in Lancashire at Holmes Mill, Clitheroe, an old textile mill and has the longest bar in Britain! With the surname of ‘Gather’, Luke and Louise couldn’t not be inspired by this for their September wedding, and so ‘The Gathering’ was born - a bringing together of all the people who mean the most to them. The venue was a no-brainer. Luke grew up around the corner from Elvaston Castle in Derby, and went for regular walks around the grounds. The couple live together nearby and walk their dogs there regularly, so it holds a special place for them.Read more...

With a budget of just £4000, Kirsty and Ben knew their wedding plans had to be different to the majority of the weddings that Ben, a musician in a function band, sees day in day out. They wanted to have their day in a beautiful setting, but kept their guest list small to limit the expense. Getting married on October 31st, Rachael and Olly were always going to have a Halloween inspired day. In particular, they were influenced by Tim Burton and The Addams Family. Rachael chose her dress because it reminded her of something Dita Von Teese or Morticia Addams might wear, and Olly's outfit, pieced together from various places, was reminiscent of something Gomez Addams might be seen in.Read more...

They chose Venachar Lochside as the location for their stunning October wedding and Mazz and Alex made all their decisions for the day based on what did or did not spark joy. The bride wore a full purple/ dusky rose ensemble - from her Rosie Red Corsetry dress, painted shoes (which she did herself!) and even her freshly dyed hair.
