Submissions

If you are a newlywed, a photographer or a wedding supplier and you would like to be featured on Rock n Roll Bride, I would love to hear from you…don’t be shy!

I favour real weddings over engagement shoots and styled shoots, but I do feature all three. Boudoir is generally not my bag but if you have something really amazing and unique then try me! I like to be proven wrong as often as possible!

For bonus points, please take the time to read this post for more tips on how to get your submission really noticed before you send it my way.

Please note: I receive a huge amount of submissions everyday so unfortunately I am unable to feature every single one but I will drop you a reply to let you know either way.

Please send your submission via email to kat@rocknrollbride.com including the following information…

Wedding/photo shoot submissions

♥ Couple’s names, wedding date & location
♥ A short paragraph or a few bullet points laying out why you think this wedding/shoot is perfect for Rock n Roll Bride and anything that makes it particularly stand out
♥ A small selection of low res images (i.e. 500 pixels wide, 72dpi) that show the best of the wedding or shoot – make sure you include portrait of the couple and any quirky reception details. Between 10 & 20 images is ideal and please do not send high res images.
♥ Please also let me know whether the wedding/shoot has been submitted to or featured on any other blogs or in any magazines. As a general rule I will not feature anything that has already been published on other wedding blogs.

Please note: Permission to be featured from the photographer and the couple is imperative. Please get permission from all parties before submitting a wedding or photo shoot.

Wedding supplier featured posts

Please include the following info in an email if you are a wedding supplier who would like to be considered for a sponsored post…

♥ Your name(s)/company name, your location and website address
♥ What is it that you do and why you feel you are perfect for couples planning an alternative wedding

Please note: Featured or ‘sponsored posts’ are chargeable. Current rates and site statistics are available upon request. Further info on blog advertising can be found here.

If I do not feel the product or service you offer is suitable for Rock n Roll Bride I reserve the right to decline your request for advertising. On occasion I do accept products and gifts, however this does not guarantee a blog feature. I am unable to return any products once they have been sent.

Guest Posts

I do not publish guest posts, unless we are already BFFs. Seriously, Mr. Spammy SEO man, don’t waste your time asking.

And finally…

Any wedding supplier who I feature will be entitled to become a bona fide ‘Rockstar Vendor’! If you’d like your very own Rockstar Vendor badge to proudly display on your own blog or website, just drop me and email and I’ll shoot one right over.

  1. Love the vibrancy and personality you bring to your blog – and your disregard for convention. Weddings are supposed to be about celebrating and having a good time but all too often they become bogged down in ceremony and social eitiquette. Keep up the good work Kat.

  2. What a fabulous blog! My (newly engaged) friend recommended I try to get some of my work accepted to your site, and I can see why, although I don’t think I’ve really got enough to send you at the moment. I’ll be submitting things to you when I do though!

  3. Hi Kat!
I just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration! Not only for wedding ideas but also the drive to stay true to one’s self. I’ve drooled over your site off and on for years! As a photographer I always swore never to become a wedding photographer, because like you I couldn’t think to conform to the traditional brides aesthetic. Thanks to blogs like yours I have a new and refreshed outlook, and I’m now in the process of planning how to re-brand my blog and start my own business. Hope that one day I’ll have work worthy of submission! <3

  4. Wow! What a blog. As I read your blog name, I was able to think that brides and brides-to-be should feel confident and happy of who they are. They should rock others with their unique personality. Kudos! =)

  5. Hi Kat fantastic site…….. I have submitted my website which includes a small portfolio. I hope you like my kind of work…… Many thanks H

  6. I love your blog, we were recently contacted by simplybridal.com and that is where I saw your site. I love it. I saw the post with the reggae colors and loved it. We live and work in Jamaica and “dreaming” of photographing a “Rock n Roll Bride” Nice work, if you are ever in Jamaica for a Destination wedding, please look us up. Paula Williams.

  7. From Brighton, living and working the wedding scene in Spain. Very rare to come across a site that makes you say ……. cool to the dog asleep at your feet. Well done to the tattooed lady and her friends.

    Hey Kat,

I’ve sent you a rambling email about our DIY, budget but ultimately awesome wedding that we’re using to raise some money for charity. However I wanted to say, that even if you read it and think ‘pffft…. *delete*; you’ve built up a truly fantastic and liberating website that you should be proud of, hopefully it’ll continue to inspire couples for a long time yet! :)

  12. Hi Kat
Hope you do not mind me saying this is a great website you have created and different to what I normally come across as a photographer who photographs mainly indian weddings. I will put in a wedding for submission soon and hope you’ll love the vibrant colours.
